(Coffee P.O.V.)

"Master Attendant, are you sure he's suitable for an exploration?" I asked, following Arexa. Arexa is my Master Attendant, it's been a joy being at her side, considering I came to be one of her first food souls. She was always optimistic about having new food souls join us on different adventures, wether it be explorations or showdown battles. I was her top explorer, always there whenever things got tough. But now, she wants to replace one of our highest ranking food souls for one she just came across.

"I'm sure, Coffee. I've talked to a lot of others who had explored with him before, they said he was excellent to have around." She reassured me, I sighed. This was our first formal meeting with him, and she chose me to bring along. We had just entered the restaurant, the rest of the team standing around. Arexa had wandered into the kitchen to grab some items before we departed. I walked up to the table they were gathered around and sat down, putting a hand under my chin.

"Why so glum? Aren't you excited to see the new member joining us?" A lady with curly blonde locks asked me, her smile sweet like icing. Gingerbread was trying her best to make me feel better, she does that to everyone. Sat next to her was Red Wine, who was re-tying his hair. He hadn't joined us all that long ago, it was more of a 'stumble upon' situation. Tiramisu sat on the edge of the table, not saying a lot. She was always outgoing and talkative around the people she knew well. Like me, she didn't like having to replace members of our team so often. Arexa always thought it would help our team grow, but I liked it better before.

"This new guy, I don't even know who he is." I said, moving my hands or the side for my head. Gingerbread sighed, saying stuff on how great he is in battle. I just blocked it out, I was stressing to much over this and I didn't know why. Even Arexa was worried about me, I could tell. She worries about all of us.

"Coffee, calm down. Do you think I know him? No, I don't. I understand that you are worried about it, but you shouldn't be so uptight." Red Wine said, adjusting the collar of his shirt. Gingerbread nodded to his response, which helped me relax. I guess it would be kinda nice, I mean, what if he fits better with our group? I finally relaxed into the back of the chair when the door opened to the restaurant. I turned around to see who had entered, and I'll say, it was worth the sight.

His dark brown hair fell over his brown, chocolate like skin. His hair neatly combed back under the fedora he was wearing. His Ivey blue eyes gazed around the restaurant, only to then fall on me. I felt my whole body grow tense, one area specifically. He gave a small smirk and made his way over to the table. He sat down in the free chair next to me, holding a rose between his fingers. "What a pleasure meeting my new team, I'm Chocolate." He said softly, my whole body feeling like it melting. I didn't notice until that moment how red is gotten. I chose to ignore it, and hoped the others would too.

We all continued to chat for a while longer, until Arexa made her way out of the kitchen. All of us got to our feet, ready to go when Chocolate walked up to Arexa. He took her hand in his and kissed it, slipping the rose into her hand as well. She smiled at him kindly, putting the rose in her pocket. The only one who didn't take so kindly to that gesture was Red Wine, who was on the verge of boiling. Before anything more could happen, we started on the journey. On the way to the camp sight, Chocolate and I talked more. He wanted to make me feel more comfortable with him, so I agreed. I figured be at each others throats, but we had interests in similar things.

Once we arrived at the sight, we all started setting up tents for the night. Ginger bread, Tiramisu and Arexa all decided to share a tent. So the males made their own too. It was mostly Chocolate and I who had built the tent, while Red Wine was flirting with Arexa. I didn't mind it, Red Wine is very independent and would most likely take complete control otherwise. Once the tent was completed, we started putting our sleeping bags inside. I sat on my sleeping bag, folding it over to make it look organized and neat. I looked up and saw Chocolate watching me, I had guessed he finished his bed and wanted to wait for me. "Hey, Coffee? Can I tell you something? I know you won't judge me." He said, that calm voice was now shaking. I nodded and sat facing him, showing I was listening. The next words that came out of his mouth changed they way I viewed him.

"I'm gay."
