Am I Alone?

The Move

"Bye mom!" Emily says while trying not to tear up. Her mom looks at her daughter and touches her brown hair, which is in a big mess that looks like medusa. "I love you." She says to her daughter. Then she take something in a small green box from her purse and places it in Emily's hands. "Don't open this until you think your ready." They both paused in silence for a moment. "Well I need to go to work." Emily's mom says before giving her a kiss and then a long hug.

Emily knew this was going to be hard saying goodbye to her one parent after her dad died just the year before. She then walked across the busy street and called for a taxi. As Emily got into the taxi she realized her life was going to be very different now living in a small town in Oklahoma. Before she knew it she was already at the airport. She looks around, it's only 1 in the afternoon. She grabs her luggage and begins to go through security.

After 1 hour of security she holds her one carry on which is a small purse her friend Andrea gave to her. Then she hears the message saying "All passengers going to Oklahoma go to gate c16." Emily makes her way to gate c16 and starts to board the plane. Before getting on she sees crying children and loud, tired parents. This is going to be a long flight.
