In 2028 the war broke out.
The global alignment or TGA started out a small group of psychopaths who had escaped from a psychiatric ward. They believed no one deserved a life, all life forms must be destroyed and earth was to be left in ruins.
It expanded, hundreds upon thousands were under the spell of the TGAs morals. Using substances that are still unknown TGA created a new bomb. All at once, every country was hit.
At least 60% of the worlds population died, many from the blow, others from the afttermath. However what the TGA were not expecting was to have caused an uprising of mutant teenagers, the elements.
At first no body knew, the survivors lived in secret and in poverty for 11 years till the first elementals had appeared. The children at first were called the gifted, the saviours of the unknown, but then people started to realise it wasn't just a few kids. It was all of them.
Children, infants under the age of 5 who survived the uprising were exposed to a chemical, a mutant gene, that gave them supernatural abilities when reached the age of 16.
Eventually a government formed, they devised a elemental training program. Each element had a counter part.
Fire vs water, Earth vs space, Light vs Dark and Electric vs Air.
In order for the gifted to control there new found powers they had to team up and use there differences for the better.
"Jesus can you turn that off"
"Zoe, it's important" taking the remote of zoes grasp, she placed it down into the counter top and walked to her daughter.
"I know your stressed because you start your training in 3 weeks but there's no need to get upset-"
"I'm not upset!" Turning to face her mother, Zoe got up from her chair and grabbed her bag from the floor.
"I just don't see the point in them going through all the details like its new news, it's been 50 years, get over it"
Zoe walked away leaving her half empty bowl of cereal on the counter as she went to get the bus to school.

"Did you see the news this morning? What a drag"
Zoe sat next to her best friend Krystal.
Zoe had shoulder length brown hair that flowed beautifully down her neck and curled at the ends. Her eyes were the most beautiful deep brown and the most adorable glasses with chunky frames. She was quite a petite girl, skinny but stretched build.
Her friend Krystal had the most gorgeous long blonde hair that cascaded down the majority of her back and a pair of mesmerising purple eyes that shone blueish in some lights.
Krystal had recently got her nose pierced and had put a small black star stud in, she made a bet her element would be space.
Zoe already knew her element, she discovered it the day of her 16th birthday, Krystal had been 16 for 8 days and still had nothing.

It was the 10th of August 2078 when the new elementals went to there's training assembly. Placed between two boys sat Zoe quietly staring at the floor. On her right was a fairly tall boy who had bleach blonde hair which contrasted to the dark tattoo that covered one side of his neck. a neat black nose ring placed on the right side and a pair of black rimmed glasses decorated his face. To the left was a oriental boy, around the same height with a thick mane of dark brown hair and a scar just above one of his eyes. Wearing an unreadable, blank expression. Despite the absence of voices and noise, a slight prick of awkwardness lingered in the air, almost looming over them. On the other hand, Krystal was sat between a boy with light golden brown hair and a girl with short dark brown hair that's lightly ticked her shoulders.
Once it appeared that everyone had found there seats and became quiet the assembly began.
"ELEMENTALS, WELCOME"
A man and a woman walked out onto the main stage like area in the middle of the assembly hall.
"Today you will start the rest of your lives with the gifted powers you were born with"
The woman walked towards a large clear tube, a stand enclosed in glass walls.
"This will activate your element if you have not already found it, however everyone must stand inside and demonstrate your power"
One large screen lit up a picture of one of the boys Zoe was sat between.
"OSCAR JAMES"
Rising from his seat, Oscar waltzed towards the bottom of the steps. Suddenly the large set of doors to the entrance slammed open. Stood in the door way in a defensive yet daring stance was a boy athletically built. Dark blue curls that defied gravity framed his chiselled face, a mixture of sea blue and space grey painted his eyes.
Slowly he took a white, thin, stick like shape out of his pocket and placed the item between his lips. Walking a couple paces, he leaned against the cold, concrete walls painted a mint shade of white. Everyone turned to face the boy as he broke the silence with a loud crunch of his sweet stick.
Oscar continued his descent down the stair case and placed him self inside the  hollow, chute like stand and let the doors seal. Quick moments pass as he waited for his element to show. In the blink of an eye the whole cylinder was up in flames and Oscars eyes shone a fiery red glare. After 10 seconds or so the flames quickly died and the doors released Oscar from his elemental daze.
