Chapter 19

Sebastian's pov.

we were heading back to the manor today but Scarlet was still sick. she had slept most of yesterday giving us time for the funeral and to pack. the young master has been in poor spirits with Madam Red dead and Scarlet being sick. we were getting closer to the manor and i was starting to worry about what kind of damage those three could have done. i give a small sigh seeing the manor standing and looking in good condition. i help the young master out before picking up a sleeping Scarlet who wraps her arms around my neck in her sleep

"welcome home master." those three yell and i glance down at Scarlet to see her still asleep. Finny looks over at me a huge smile on his face but it is quickly replaced by a frown once he sees Scarlet. "is Scarlet alright?" he asks making Bard and Mey-Rin look over at me as well. i sigh a little before looking at my young master who was shaking his head. "Scarlet caught a cold a few days ago. until she is better i want you all to leave her alone and keep quiet." he says making them nod their heads before rushing out to bring the bags in. "Sebastian once you put Scarlet to bed i will take my tea in my study." the young master says as he walks away from me.

i walk slowly to Scarlet's room watching Finny and Bard carry her things past quickly. by the time i got there her bags were in her room at the end of her bed. i lay her gently down before i unwrap the blanket that was around her hiding her nightgown that was like the ones Lady Elizabeth would wear. i put her under the blankets before placing a small kiss to her forehead. i turn to walk away when her warm, clammy hand grabs my arm. "Sebastian can i have some water?" she asks in a soft voice that sounded weak but at the same time cute. "alright but i want you to eat something as well." i say. her hand lets me go and i can hear her soft sigh. "fine." she mumbles and i smile to myself as i leave her alone.

Scarlet's pov.

i was in one of those half asleep half awake states as i wait for Sebastian to come back with my water and the food he was forcing me to eat. i close my eyes again hoping sleep would claim me so i could be over this quickly, but nothing happened. i sigh before opening my eyes and looking around my room. big trunks were at the end of my bed as well as a small bag. there was a thump down the hall making me smile a little as i hear Finny and Bard try to whisper to each other. "Sebastian and the young master will get mad at us if they catch us in her room." Finny whispers. Bard sighs as a small rattle came from my door handle was heard. "you were worried about her and i bet she's still asleep so she isn't going to tell them." Bard says. i close my eyes as the door opens. they walk in and Finny grabs my hand.

"told you she was going to be asleep." Bard whispers from by the door. "but she's so pale and what if she does not wake up?" Finny whispers before something wet hits my hand that he was holding. Bard sighs before walking over and placing his hand over mine and Finny's. "if her hands are all wet Sebastian will know we were here. come on Finny let's go before he comes back to check on her." Bard says in a soft tone. they whip my hand dry before leaving my room. i open my eyes slowly before giving a sigh. i sit up before loking down at myself and cringing a little. the light Victorian nightgown that Ciel and Sebastian forced on me this morning was wet with sweat and sticking to me.

'there is no way i'm keeping this on.'i think as i get out of bed and walk over to my bag. i pull out a black and neon green spaghetti strap pj top with neon green and black striped shorts that go with it as well as a clean pare of undies that were black and hot pink. "better." i mumble as i walk into the bathroom and take a quick bath before changing. i was feeling much better now that i was clean. i leave the bathroom to grab my brush and some hair ties so i could put my hair back. i brush my hair quickly before i start to braid it and walk out of the bathroom into my room. i wasn't really paying attention so when i ran into a hard, warm wall i drop my hands making the braid come undone.
