Sonic discreetly watched his target as he waited for his call to be received. Tall man, dark brown hair, medium build. He had definitely seen him the night before in one of the many photos he had been shown. Once the voicemail was reached, he scoffed and slammed his phone shut with one hand. It was no use. By then, the deal had been finished, and the group split. The target walked away with two of his other friends, and the dealer headed back into the market.
"Guess I'll pay her a visit later."
"Ha-aaa!!" (Y/n) groaned as she sat on her couch and popped her back. For a fancy restaurant, you would have thought the chairs would have been more comfortable...and speaking of comfort.
She stood up and went in her room. She grabbed a baggy T-shirt and threw it on her bed, discarding the uncomfortable flats that had dug into her heels and the tight dress that not only looked elegant but highlighted her body's wonderful curves. She pulled the shirt on over her head and removed her jewelry.
"Much better."
She made her way towards the kitchen, her bare feet sticking to the floor with brief shlicks, and stuck her hand in a bag resting on the table. She grabbed what was inside before pausing, looking over her shoulder and through the pass-through between the living room and kitchen towards her purse.
Should I call him back now? She stared for a little longer before returning her attention to the bag in front of her. No. It would be better to finish this first, given his unpredictability.
There was no need to deliberate further. Two knocks were heard from her door, disrupting her train of thought. Her glance flickered towards the clock on the microwave before she left her spot and walked to the door.
And who else but...
"How can I help you?" (Y/n) asked, peering around her half-open door.
"You didn't answer your phone earlier," Sonic announced as strode past her and made his way into her apartment.
