Prologue

Lahat naman ng firsts, special. Lahat ng firsts, kakaiba.

Pero hindi ba, mas masarap sa pakiramdam na ikaw yung first and last niya?

Sa totoo lang tinatanong ko din sa sarili ko kung bakit nga ba memorable ang mga 'first'. Siguro kasi, dahil nga first, hindi mo pa nararanasan sa iba. Hindi mo pa naeexperience noon. Kaya naman tandang-tanda mo at kahit anong gawin mo, napakamemorable sa'yo.

Convincing ba? Kung hindi, hindi ko na alam kung sa paanong paraan ko pa ba siya idedescribe.

Oh sige, eto naman.

Bakit memorable din ang last? Kasi... alam mong... yun na yung huli. Either in a positive or negative way, alam mo na hindi na iyon mauulit. Pero gayunpaman, bakit pinapahalagahan pa din natin ang mga 'last'? Siguro kasi, dahil nga alam natin na iyun na yung huli, sobra na natin yung ittreasure at iingatan.

Noong isang beses na nagsearch ako sa google, may lumabas sa yahoo answers kung bakit daw memorable ang first love. Sabi ng isang username na jonny: "Because.. Just like your first roller coaster or first kiss, it's always the best because it's the first time you experience such a feeling that strong."

Kaya nga siguro noong nainlove ako, nagmistulang isang malaking roller coaster ride hindi lang ang feelings and emotions ko kundi buong buhay ko. Exaggerated yata masyado pakinggan. O sige, irerephrase ko na lang. Mula noong nainlove ako, nagmistulang isang malaking roller coaster ride hindi lang ang feelings and emotions ko kundi pati ang isang malaking parte ng buhay ko.

Ako nga pala ang manunulat, at bida sa kwentong 'to. Hindi ko alam kung paano ako magsisimula at matatapos but first, let me introduce myself.

I am Sophia Mae Santos. I am now twenty something (ayoko istate yung accurate age ko kasi feeling ko ang tanda ko na), but the real story started when I was twelve. I am from Manila. Not to brag, pero maganda ako. Madami nagkakacrush sa'kin since elementary. Talented? I think so. Hindi naman talaga ako ipinanganak na ganito. Siguro nadala lang ng sipag ko at sa dami ng hilig ko, ayun. Madami akong alam gawin. Kabilang na dun ang pagtugtog ng musical instruments. Consistent first honor din ako since then. I am blessed to have a complete happy family with loving parents and a very understanding older sister.

Simple lang naman yung buhay ko.

Kagaya ng iba, hindi ko maexplain kung gaano ako kaexcited tumuntong sa high-school. Sa sobrang excitement ko, one month before magpasukan bumili na ko ng mga gamit. Like hello?! We're talking about high-school here! It's the most unexpected, exciting, and happiest stage in life daw. But most of all, I can't wait to grab more opportunities. I am excited to experience a whole lot of new things and experiences.

And maybe, it also includes falling in love.
