I felt tears pour down my cheeks as soon as I saw my mother's engagement ring be passed onto Serena. I quickly walked away from the counter and I walked right towards them. Before my father could even push the ring onto Serena's finger, I grabbed it  and held it tightly in my hand.

"What the fuck?!" The said in unison, and I stared at him as tears continued down my cheeks.

"This was Mom's. She left it to me when she died. I thought that you had her buried with it, but you had it this whole time. I'm not letting you put this on Serena's hand, because then it will be ruined forever. Can't you see that she is just using you? For your money and the retirement that you will get when you officially retire from being Captain? She's nothing but a worthless, good for nothing, gold digger." I spat, before turning and stomping towards the break room, Cynthia calling after me as the door shut.

I walked towards the line of small lockers on the far wall, and I unlocked mine.

"Liv! What just happened?" Cynthia asked, and I turned towards her as I opened my hand and showed her the ring.

"Dad was giving this to Serena. Legally this is mine, and so is all of the other stuff Mom left me. He can't just take it all and threaten us, because every year she updated her will to make sure that we all had something to remember her by. And this is mine. I will be giving it to my son one day, and it won't be resting on Serena's hand until she gets bored of Dad and pawns it." I spoke, and Cynthia frowned deeply as she looked at the ring.

It had been on our mother's finger since the day Dad gave it to her. She never once took it off. It was just as much part of our mother, as we were. We may not biologically be her daughter, but everyone knew that we are the Cragen girls, and Mom couldn't have been prouder of us.

"I know that your feelings towards Serena are painfully valid, but this stuff can't be happening here at work..." Cynthia trailed off, and I sighed.

"Now my own sister is firing me. What will be next? Elliot breaks up with me? I get hit by a car? Huh? What now?!" I spat, tearfully. My sister swallowed hard as she stepped forward to hug me, but I shook my head.

"No, don't. I'll see you at home." I whispered, as I cleaned out my locker and walked out.

I sat in a cafe near my father's old precinct, as I waited for ADA Carmichael to show up. I know that she isn't a normal lawyer, but I needed to discuss what was happening between my father and me. If there was anyway I could get him to give Cynthia and myself what our mother left us, because we needed those things. The pictures were what I wanted the most, because I wanted to be able to see my mother when I started to forget what she looked like, which is already happening, sadly.

"Olivia, I only have twenty minutes. I'm sorry I don't have longer." Abbie spoke, as she sat down in front of me. I pushed a plain black coffee towards her, and she smiled as she took a drink from it.

"I just need some legal advice. It shouldn't take long." I spoke, and she nodded.

"Okay, so what is it about?" She mused, as she sat the cup down and looked at her phone. I knew I wasn't going to get her full attention, but at least she showed up.

"When my mom died, she had a will. She updated it every year and my father updated his. But once my mother died, and my father moved to Albany, he started dating my biological mother, Serena." I spoke, and Abbie stopped typing on her phone, and she looked at me.

"He's dating Serena?" She asked, and I swallowed hard.

"He actually proposed to her today..." I frowned.

"Oh geez. Uh, what do you need my help with?" She questioned, as she became a bit more interested in what I was saying.

"He threatened to call the police on Cynthia and myself when I told him to break up with Serena. He said that he wanted everything that our mother ever gave us, and if we didn't he'd make sure we got in trouble. But he can't do that, right?" I questioned, and she thought for a moment as she drank from her coffee.

"No, he can't. A will is a legally binding document. Whatever she said in that is final, and even as her husband, he has no rights to what she left you and Cynthia, and you have no rights to what she left him." Abbie spoke, and I nodded quickly as I wrote that down on the napkin in front of me.

"Thanks." I spoke, and I expected her to start packing up, but she kept drinking her coffee.

"Where is your father right now?" She asked, and I shrugged.

"No idea. He was at the Fremont a bit ago, and I took my mother's engagement ring when he tried to give it to Serena."

"Olivia..." She trailed off, and I sighed.

"My mom left it to me. I thought that she was buried with it, but I saw him try to give it to Serena so I took it. I don't want her having anything that is my mother's, but I can't stop my Dad from marrying her. He's broken and is trying to use that tape that is Serena to patch up his broken heart."

I quickly ran down the stairs and into the basement of the Stabler house. Cynthia was sitting up in her bed, reading a magazine. I quickly walked over to her and dropped a folder on her lap.

"Liv? Where have you been?" She asked quickly, and I sat down by her feet and looked at her.

"Cynthia, Mom's lawyer is going to work with us to sue Dad." I spoke, and she sat the magazine down before looking at me the folder.

"This is Mom's will. What is happening? Where did you get this?!" She demanded.

"I went right to Hank. He is going to help us open Dad's eyes. We are starting here, and then I have a plan. A huge plan to get Dad back to us, and for him to leave Serena. I just need you to do one thing for me." I spoke, passionately.

"What is this one thing, Olivia?" She asked, skeptically.

"Just trust me, Cy. Please."
