"Mamma, I'm going out to feed Butternut!" I yelled to my mom as I ran down the stairs.

"Breakfast is on the table! If you want some bacon you better hurry!" she called back from the kitchen.

I smiled to myself and grabbed my hat from the hat rack and put it on my head as I ran out the door. My boots stuck a little bit in the mud as I arrived at the barn. Butternut saw me as I was getting the hay ready and started talking to me. "Calm down, darling, I'm almost done." I said as I was walking over to her.

I sat beside Butternut as she ate her breakfast. Once she was finished, I started cleaning up a little bit, and then went back inside to eat breakfast. Sure enough, all the bacon was gone. "Joey! Hunter! Dad! Why'd you eat all the bacon?" I called from the kitchen.

None of the boys answered. Instead, my mom said, "I told you to hurry. The boys went into town to get a few parts for the truck. They should be back soon."

"Okay, thanks mamma."

I decided to eat a couple pancakes and a piece of toast, then head up to my room to change. I threw on my favorite pair of bootcut jeans that had a hole in the knee, a white tank top, my boots, and my favorite hat. Once I was completely ready, I went back outside to give Butternut a bath. It took about twenty minutes to give her a bath and blow dry her maine and tail. Once she was completely done, I had to go collect eggs from the chicken coop. I walked into the coop with a basket and collected all the eggs except for two.  I took the eggs inside and called to my mom, "I got the eggs!"

"Thanks sweetie!" she yelled back.

"Of course! "

I then put the basket into the refrigerator and started doing the dishes. Part way through, I heard a car outside, but it didn't sound like my dad's truck. I looked out the window and saw a black insanely expensive looking car. "Mamma, are you expecting someone?" I yelled, putting down my wash cloth.

"Only your father and your brothers." she replied.

Curious, I walked outside and stood on my porch, leaning up against the pillar. A tall, tan guy with dark brown hair got out of the passenger seat and looked at me. "You're not from around here, are you?" I said, looking down at what he was wearing.

He had on a pair of khaki pants, a blue polo shirt, black Vans, and aviators. "Nope. My friends and I are here for Magcon." he said as four other guys got out of the car.

I'm surprised I didn't pass out right there. All five of them were the most attractive guys I'd ever seen.
