"Yuriko Ishii, that's my name right? Where am I?" I mumbled, sitting up. When I looked around I saw a man with orange hair, and purple evil looking eyes. He was sitting in a corner but before I could ask him anything he was gone.
That was a long time ago, I was young then not thinking when I left my safe village for Kyoto. I went looking for my parents. I still don't know what happened that night. What I do know is that the man that was looking over me that night was the Battosai The Man slayer. I have dedicated my life to finding that man. I have learned swordsmanship only killing someone if it is the only way to live. I search for the Battosai in the most dangerous of places, and the most calm. This is one of the more calm adventures.
I walked up to the dojo seeing a kid outside wearing a yellow kimono and swinging around a wooden sword. He saw me and stopped swinging, offering me a small smile.
"Hey, Miss Kaoru we have a guest!" He yelled to someone inside the Dojo. Soon enough a woman came out of the doors.
"Welcome to the Kamiya Kashin Dojo, can I help you with something?" She asked fiddling with the bow on her kimono, it was rather large and obnoxious. Her blue hair was also tied in a ribbon. Her blue eyes shining with curiosity.
"I was hired to come check out your dojo and make sure the foundation is stable" I lied smoothly "The names Yuriko." I said putting on a smile. she smiled kindly at me.
"Hello Yuriko, I'm Kamiya Kaoru, please just call me Kaoru!" She said bowing sweetly.
"Sure Kaoru, I think I'm going to go have a look around." I said walking into the dojo, quickly checking every extra room. When I walked up to the kitchen I saw orange hair and I tapped the wall.
"You look familiar, that you do!" The man said turning around. A cross shaped scar adorning his face. I smiled softly though this man was supposed to be a war legend he seemed rather nice.
"Batosai?" I whispered, as soon as the words left my mouth his look hardened. I saw his jaw tighten.
"I don't recall ever saying I was the 'Batosai', that I don't" he said his voice just a notch lower. I smiled at him my eyes staying fixed on his.
"But I know its you, I could never forget those eyes that hold such a somber expression, I can see it still yes I can." He said an emotionless mask on his scarred face. His purple eyes a break in the facade. Though I couldn't quite make out what they showed, was it anger, confusion maybe?
"Though Himura I hope you know you are the cause of the sadness I now face." I said breaking eye contact. I turned away making my way out of the Dojo. I walked back out to see Kaoru teaching the child something with the wooden swords.
"You passed." I said walking off the dojo grounds and back into the crowded streets. 'I know where you are now Battosai, Its time for me to play my role."
