chapter 1

The reaccuring dream i have almost everynight, the one that leaves me breathless when I awake. I am standing in the middle of my room, empty and alone.

I walk around a bit, trying to find out what's going on. Out of no where, a boy walks up to me. He is tall and muscular. His shaggy blonde hair and his emerald green eyes shines in the light.

He gets closer to me and I feel goosebumps. He walks up close. He doesn't say anything, but he has a slight smile on his face.

He reaches for my hand and he grasps it. He pulls me into his arms and rests his hands on my waiste. As I realize what is going on, he kisses me softly.

And then I awaken.

I can hear my mother downstairs yelling from the kitchen.

"Aiden! Get up! You will be late for your first day of school!" I stumble out of bed and staggered to my closet. I grabbed a pair of jeans and a pink sweatshirt that fell over my left shoulder.

I looked in the mirror and took my hair out of the bun that I slept in to reveal gorgeous, natural-looking curls that fell to my belly button.

I just put on a bit of black eye liner to my water line and a thin like on my upper lid, as well as a bit of mascarra. Not enough make-up to tell that I was wearing any.

I walked down the stairs and was greeted by my mother who was holding a batch of her famous pancakes. I sat down at the island on a barstool as she placed the well-prepared breakfast in front of me.

"Aiden, honey," She started  "Why do you look so unhappy?"

I looked up at her. "Look mom, I understand that your job involves you to move alot but this is my 8th school."

She looked down at me apologetically as she started to clear the breakfast dishes. I grabbed my fork and slowly ate my pancakes.

"Well you are a senior this year honey, just think, you wont have to move anymore after this year!" I looked up at her again. "Mom, I'm going into senior year without a single person there to enjoy it with. I have to start fresh. Again."

She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. She realized that I was right.

"Mom I have to go," I said as i rose from my seat and kissed my mom on the cheak. "Thank you for breakfast, I love you." And with that I was out the door.

I hopped in my little black Honda and started the engine.

The weather was a bit chilly up in New Jersey, a little bit chillier than expected for the end of August.

I backed out of the drive way and began the trip to the first day of school at West Manchester High.
