So the story continues. This chapter is more of a setting up chapter and is very small but the questions will be answered in the next update. Also a Big thanks to Paige emily for helping and supporting with this story :)
It has been 4 months since Ava arrived, she was nothing short of perfect, she had the most beautiful little smile and was already showing signs of having the "take no prisoners" attitude her mother has. Connie had recovered from the surgery fairly quickly, Steph sims was convicted and behind bars for a pretty long time and grace had been making regular visits over the past 4 months. Everything was perfect.
"Umm Connie, you have sick on your shoulder again" connie blew her lips together before storming off to her wardrobe again "that's the 3rd time today I've had to change and it's only 7am" Connie glared at Jacob as she moved over to Ava's cot "hay hay it's got nothing to do with me mrs B" holding his hands up in defence. As Connie neared the cot she stopped and watched Ava as she smiled and giggled at Connie "umm yes I think I've most definitely found the culprit" Connie jumped slightly as Jacob came up behind her and touched her shoulder "con, you alright? You're a bit jumpy today" Jacob moved her hair to the side to get a better look at her. "I'm fine, just a bit worried about my first shift back in the ED" Jacobs eyes widened as he took a step back "what is wrong with you? You look like you've seen a ghost" Jacob moved further away from her as he covered his mouth "it's worse much worse, Constance Beauchamp is showing emotions, I never thought I would see the day the ice queen melted all because of a little baby" Connie practically ran at Jacob before holding a finger to his face "now staff nurse masters, sleeping with me does not give you privileges.... before she could finish Jacob grabbed her waist and pulled her close "Now that's the mrs B I know, no fear, no prisoners, don't worry con everyone's still scared of you " Connie tried to keep her laughter in but just the thought of seeing all the F1's faces when she walked in made her laugh. Connie looked at her watch before pushing Jacob way "Jacob I'm going to be late, why didn't you tell me" Jacob laughed at her as he walked over to Ava. "Let's go say bye bye to mama"
3 hours later Connie was sat in her office pushing some paperwork around, she tried to get some of it finished but she was finding it hard to concentrate. Her mind kept wandering to earlier in the morning when she walked into the staff room, 2 weeks ago they had hired a new cleaner Kevin , he was a tall man with tanned skin his hair was long and definitely not brushed, when she had walked into the staff room she could of swore she heard him talking to himself about Robyn but she wasn't 100%. From the moment she saw him she felt weird, like something wasn't right. She brushed it off and got on with her job but her mind kept wandering back to the moment. A knock at the door pulled her away from her thoughts "come in" moving off her chair Connie moved over to the door as Charlie walked in "Charlie, don't tell anyone but I missed you the most". "Now now Connie you can't have favourites in this place" a smug look crossed her face as Charlie frowned at her "well you can... I had a baby with my favourite" Connie patted Charlie's back as she walked over to the nurses station "right hello everyone good to see you all again, however in my absence I have noticed we have had a few problems, this stops now, our standards do not slip in this place, we slip up a patient dies simple. I want to see improvement starting from now. That's all get back to work.
Connie smirked as she saw all the staff stumble over each other to get away from her. As she turned to walk away Connie saw someone from the corner of her eye. Kevin was slowly walking down the corridor, She moved behind the pillar so he could see her, she didn't know why but Connie was scared of him, from the second she saw his she knew something was different about him. She moved closer into the pilar as she watched him walk, he was watching everyone intently as he mumbled to himself, if Connie didn't know any different she would call the police thinking he had escaped from the local mental institution. She decided she was being silly so she began walking back to her office stopping as she notice Kevin let himself into the room, she looked on in shock as he walked into her office and just stood in the middle, what was he doing? What was wrong with him? She moved further into the room getting slightly annoyed at the situation "um I'm sorry but what the hell are you doing in my office" Connie jumped as Kevin swung round "you mrs Beauchamp" Connie stepped back feeling that he wasn't exactly heading anywhere nice with this "November 17th 2014 stab wound, a 13 year old girl, my daughter . She died, you were her doctor" Connie moved further back as he neared her, his breath hitting her face. "You killed her and your going to pay for it" Connie stumbled back as he Lunged forward grabbing Connie. Just as he grabbed her Charlie pulled her back making her fall to the ground as he tried to grab Kevin who ran for the exit. Noel ran to Connie side helping her up from the ground "what happened, should I call security?" Connie pushed her hair back as she steadied herself "yes phone them. I've got a feeling he will be back"
