Suri Polomare was casually reading a paperback in her apartment. As she flipped another page with her hoof, she heard her doorbell ring.
"Hmmmm, I wonder who it is..." She thought, opening the door. Outside was a cat carrier with a note on it.
"Huh?" She said out loud, picking it up. It read
"To Suri, a gift to you. I think you might like it. From Coco Pommel." She looked inside the cat carrier, noticing a black cat. It's fur seemed more shiny than usual. And not just it's fur, almost all of it seemed shiny. Its eyes seemed to be very golden looking. She picked up the cat carrier and brought it into her room, opening it up once she closed the door. The black cat jumped out, looking around. The cat looked at her and purred.
"Hey, you're pretty friendly. I think I'll call you...Goldwin. That's a good name for you I think, because your eyes are golden." The cat purred more. "I'll go get you some cat food." She said, smiling. She was glad Coco had decided to send that gift, so far she liked her new pet's company very much.
A hour later, Suri walked back in, carrying a small scratching post, two bottles of milk, and several boxes of cat food in a bag. She looked around for Goldwin, but didn't have any luck. She noticed his shiny form on the bed. She laid down and resumed reading her paperback after setting up all the items she had bought. After a while she set it down, only to reveal Goldwin. He seemed to be smirking.
"Hello there~" He said. Suri stared. Had he just spoke? Don't cats just meow and purr? "I see you're confused. Why don't you just look into my eyes for a moment while I explain. Doesn't that sound nice?" His voice sounded elegant and intelligent. Suri looked into his eyes, waiting for his explanation. She couldn't help but stare. Those eyes seemed so shiny and bright. She couldn't help but stare. Her mind felt hazed, glossed over somehow. His stare was mind numbing. It felt so good just to look into those eyes. "Now I want you to accept everything I say as true. My words are your reality now." She smiled. It felt so nice to just stare. He walked onto her stomach. From his paws black latex spread. "You are my twin brother, Franklin. You are a latex cat, who acts almost exactly like me. Except you do love the scratching post and playing more than I." The goo shrunk down Suri's body. Her goo covered tail grew smaller and thinned, becoming a gooey cat tail. Her pony ears morphed into cute cat ears, one with a small prick in it. Slowly her gender changed to male. His eyes changed to a pinkish color. The goo covered him. His mane was coated, disappearing almost entirely.
Slowly the mental changes began to take effect. He remembered being Goldwin's loyal twin, following his orders most of the time, while still making sure to play. He knew his brother didn't like it when he scratched the scratching post or whatnot while he was doing whatever he did, but he did it anyway. Her eyes cleared. "Good evening brother. Sleep well?" Asked Goldwin, grinning. "Of course brother of mine. Did you?" He said, smiling widely. "I did brother thank you. I'm going to have my meal now. Try not to bother me." He jumped off the bed and walked back to the kitchen, starting to eat some of the cat food in his bowl. Franklin jumped off and followed him, licking from his milk bowl. He smiled, glad to see his brother again.
