chapter 12

I visited Tasha's house and knocked on the door. When she answered, she wore her usual outfit: black leggings, a red T-shirt, and red Jordans. "Are you ready?" I asked. 

"Yeah, hey, Mom i'm going to the mall with Alex," she said. "Take your little sister," her mom said. "Okay, mom," Tasha replied, disappearing inside and emerging with her five-year-old sister. 

"Let's get going," I said as we went to the mall. When we arrived, Tasha's sister started running off. I chased after her and caught her just in time. "How about you don't run off today?" I said as I carried her back to Tasha. 

We walked around the mall, and Tasha suddenly exclaimed, "Oh no!" "What?" I asked. "I forgot my date with Cain. I'm going to be late!" she said. "I got her, now go," I said, and she ran off. We continued shopping and eventually ended up at Claire's. 

Tasha's sister ran to the bows and said, "I want one but I don't have enough." 

"Don't worry, buy what you want. I've got $50," I said as I looked at phone cases. "Yay," she said, picking out a bow. After two hours of shopping, Tasha reunited with us just as we left. "How was it?" I asked. "So fun. How was she?" Tasha asked. 

"She was good. I bought her a few things," I said. "A few things?" Tasha looked at the bags in her sister's arms. "She has to have someone to spoil her," I said with an innocent smile. 

My creature pod went off in my pocket as we left the mall. When I answered, I heard Chris and Martin in the background. "Who's that?" Tasha's little sister asked. 

"This is my boyfriend and his brother," I said, showing her the screen.

 "Well, I gotta go," Tasha said, taking her sister's hand. "Bye," I said. Later, as I was walking home with the things I bought, I asked my friend where he had gone this time. 

"To the Arctic," he replied with a smile. "What animal did you see?" I asked. He showed me a picture of a polar bear cub, and I exclaimed, "So cute!" before heading to my room.
