Ding.

Rise-and-Shawn: Meet me at beach in 5.
Me: You're planning to take me still?
Rise-and-Shawn: Would you prefer we not go?
Me: No, no. I'm surprised you want to take me is all.
Rise-and-Shawn: I think it's important that you know-- I don't regret it. Any of it.
Me: None of it?
Rise-and-Shawn: None of it. Come on, get changed, sometime today, please.
Me: Alright.

I reached for the two-piece suit I had bought for today. I had to admit, I felt bashful while putting it on. I wasn't sure if I wanted Shawn to see, honestly. Confidence was something I had yet to attain. Well, I couldn't stuff it into my closet simply because of that. I'd spent to much money on it for that.

I packed a small duffel bag with a towel, sunscreen, and assorted items of necessity.

When I began to head towards the beach, which was only four blocks away, I sent Shawn a text letting him know I was on my way.

The sun was beginning to set, shedding an eerie light throughout the landscape. A shocking electricity seemed to permeate the air, and my spine tingled.

The ocean waves were rough, crashing against the rocks with a force unequaled by that of the strongest entity. Upon seeing Shawn, I waved, jogging towards him.

He looked as if he had something to say, but he merely stood, looking at me, while I shuffled my feet bashfully. Reaching for my hand, we skirted the edge of the ocean waves. He stepped in, and I trailed along behind him reluctantly. I gasped as the cool ocean water  touched me, and I shook my head, "I'm not going in any farther."

"You'll adjust," he said, knowing that my reluctance was due to the temperature of the water. "Come on, do it for me?"

I shook my head yet again.

He drifted towards me, whispering in my ear, "I'm sorry for what I'm about to do." Before I understood the meaning behind those words, he gripped me, lifting me above the waves only to carry me into deeper water and submerge me.

I shrieked upon feeling the water, and wrapped my arms around his neck tighter. I began, "Shawn Peter Raul Mendes, if you let me go, I will personally see to it that--" only to have him pry my arms from him and submerge my body entirely. He flashed me a cheeky smile, and I knew I'd instantly forgiven him. I mean, who couldn't?
