People say they love each other all the time. Girls, in particular. Log into any social media website and you'll come across the oh-so-common "ily!" or "Luv ya!". Personally, I believe I am above these people, as cocky as it sounds. I like the idea of my own self awareness.
I wouldn't tell some one "ily" whether I meant it or not. Which I wouldn't. There is a certain commitment that comes with it that I have neither the time nor care for. Love is quite dangerous, like a poisoned arrow poised at your heart, the archer a trigger happy asshole.
Honestly, people are so easily heart broken. I read that there is an actual thing where your heart strings could snap or something when faced with extreme emotion. That's right. You can actually die from a broken heart.
And people so willingly believe it too. The 3 worded phrase. You and I are both included in the top 100 most common english words, you and I. Maybe I don't give people enough credit. People just become so trusting. They foolishly believe it when told of love, maybe because they want it to be true.
Despite this, I do enjoy watching the people around as their romantic lives, or lack of one, plays out. Declarations of love do amuse me.
