I've never stuttered more after a confession. It wasn't even my own!

"Y-yo-you're... You're gay?"

Percy slowly nodded his head, as if it was nothing new.

"Why? Did Annabeth tell you guys everything else and fail to mention that I'm gay?"

"Sorta, yeah." I answered, nodding my head. "She said that the reason was yours to tell, not her's, so... Have fun with that."

Later on that day, we had nothing to do so we all went to the music temple. There's normally stuff going on there being it's also where the music center is. But there wasn't anything. Not one note was being played when we arrived.

"Percy, go try playing something." Clarisse suggested, just joking around with him.

"Uh, if I tried playing anything, you'd all go deaf." Percy insisted, shrugging. "I'm basically tone deaf."

"Tone deaf, my ass." Grover didn't believe that. "Come on, Perce. Didn't you sing at some event back at Yancy?"

"6 years ago." Percy pointed out. "And it wasn't at the school. It was a family thing. And that's different, it wasn't for everyone."

Well, nobody pushed it. Leo played a little guitar. What he knew, which wasn't a lot.

It was nice. A sweet melody.

But anyways, the group kind of split again after that, and I went to Percy's cabin with Percy, Grover, Leo, Frank, and Jason. Guy time.

Anyways, Grover needed something so Percy showed him where it was. In his room. And we could hear them.

"Are you ever going to open that, man?" Grover asked Percy. "You've had that for almost as long as I've known you."

"I know..." Percy said, sounding a little embarrassed or guilty. "I just would rather not know. It's been cold and I'm used to it and I'm not sure I want to know anymore."

"What if it's money, though?"

"We were poor, Grover."

"Still. Who knows?"

"He did." Percy reasoned with his best friend.

This sounded very sketchy, which is why we were listening.

"Well you could find out."

Percy sighed.

"Okay, fine. But if it's money, you're not getting any."

It was silent. We heard the sound of an envelope being opened followed by silence.

It was silent was a little too long.

"Percy?" Grover asked, sounding too concerned for my liking. "Percy, what's wrong? What is it? What does it say?"

Percy didn't respond. Grover told Leo to go get Will or Apollo or someone. He's not responding. He's breathing. Has a pulse. But he's not responding.
