"Okay Electra, don't go into murder mode. He's not worth it." My friend Katiey said nervously. She had every right to be nervous right now, it feels like my spotless record is about to be tainted.

I raked my hand through my wild red hair that went to my waist. "He has no right to call me... that accursed word!"

"Oh, you mean son of a motherless goat!" Katiey said with a smirk upon her face.

"Katie!" I shouted. Everyone at our lunch table quieted and look curiously at us. We just sat there with them so we wouldn't look like losers sitting alone at an empty lunch table all by ourselves. Usually we talk to each other quietly and try not to draw attention to ourselves. That is the only thing we have in common.

I blushed under their heavy stares and played with my food. "It's just Day shouldn't have teased Violet like that! I was sticking up for her and he decides to go on jock mode and started to tease me! Violet didn't even say thanks, she just ran away and left me for dead!"

Katie chuckled, "Well it seems like you are the only girl in this school who doesn't succumb to his good looks."

I thought about what she said and I felt proud. Just because someone looks handsome doesn't mean that people should automatically bow down to them and do their every will. Day Wards is what every guy dream of being and the girls all want to be his girlfriend of the week. He stands at 6'3 and has jaw and cheek bones that could cut glass with full lips, a straight nose and piercing blue eyes. And on top of that he has feather soft curly hair that is so black that it almost shines blue. He is extremely well toned from football and he has his pick of girls. Basically all you need to know is that he is a world class jerk.

I stood up to throw my mystery meat and said to Katie "I'm going to the nurses office, I'm getting a killer head ache."

She looked at me in concerned. "Do you want me to go with you?"

"Nah I'm good. I will be back in time for chemistry, hopefully the devil will decide to skip class today. It would differently make my day better." I mumbled the last part. The teacher just had to stick me next to my mortal enemy in chemistry. There had been so many time in labs where I wanted to throw the chemical on Day and laugh manically.

I stumbled out of the noisy cafeteria and into the glorious quietness of the hall way. The high school that I attend to is small, my junior class consists of 127 people. Most of these people are the same kids that I played with in kindergartner. The school is surrounded by cornfields in Indiana, most of the time when people ask which school I go to and tell them, they just look at me blankly.

Half way to the nurses office I turned around a corner and crashed into someone. I fell to the ground and hit a head on the hard floor with a sickening thud, and groaned out load with my eyes closed. I heard someone say my name but the sounds were muffled by something. With my head throbbing, I pried my eyes open and the devil himself had his face in front of mine only a couple between us.

"Electra! Are you all right? You wouldn't respond before and-" I cut him off from his worried rant and tried to sit up. Hence the word tried, I didn't get very far. Day saw attempt and put a large pale hand under my shoulder and gently helped me sit up. Wow, I have never seen him gentle before, not even to his girlfriends. This is a shocker.

When I sat up, I was aware of his scent. That's odd, for me at least. It was a husky, woodsy smell that only he could pull off. I put my hand in his out stretched one and helped pull me up from the cold floor. Wow, his hand is huge! You can't tell that he is holding my hand, his hand consumes my small one!

"Thanks... I should go to the nurses office. I was coming down here because I had a head ache, but I now seem to have a bigger one." I said with a small smile to ease him. I don't want to make him feel guilty, I'm the one who can't walk on flat ground to save my life.

Day grimace and looked down to the ground in shame, this day is getting weirder and weirder. Day is feeling bad, or may I dare say guilty? I should probably take a picture and document this day! "I'm sorry, I'll walk you down to the nurses office. It's the least I can do, right?"

"Well you could get me chocolate, particularly milk chocolate, and we'll call it a day." I said with a hopeful smile, wanting to get chocolate. My mother is a health freak and the sight of me eating chocolate makes her freak out and lecture me on getting diabetes.

Day threw his head back and let out a melodious laugh out that I could listen to all day. "You are the first girl that has ever talked about wanting chocolate in front of me. Whenever I take a girl out, they usually eat a salad with dressing on the side. Makes me want to force feed them some real food."

With out thinking I said, "Well that's because you only go out with triple B's."

"Whats triple B's?" He asked. Crap, well better tell him because this is probably the last time we will ever have a conversation.

"Bleach Blond Bimbos." I said trying to hide my smile in case that I annoyed him. If I did I couldn't care less.

He looked at me like he was seeing me for the first time. Then he once again broke out into that hypnotizing laughter. "You really are a character. And about today, you were right, I shouldn't have teased Violet, and I also shouldn't have called you a bitch." He said with a somber tone.

"Well I accept your apology about the bitch part, but you have to apologies to Violet about the teasing, not me." I said with my hand on my hips.

He nodded and we walked into the dimly lit nurses office. I told her I needed some medicine for my ragging head ache that hasen't left me yet and she instructed me to lay on the cot while she gets the medicine. She will probably take ten minutes or so since she is about eighty years old. Day still haven't left and he was leaning against the wall, arms crossed. The lighting mad his hair look blue and his eyes looked like electric blue, which were trained on me. Talk about that being unnerving.

I plopped down on the cot, trying not to think about what has been on it, and closed my eyes. I opened my eyes when I heard footsteps coming into the nurses office.

There standing in the door way was an old man, maybe in his late fifties, with brown hair that was greying at the roots and brown eyes. He was surprisingly skinny but some what muscular for his age. But the one thing that scared me out the most with this guy was the fact that he was holding two, yellow liquid filled syringes. And then he came right at us in a blink of an eye with his hands raised, prepared to inject them in us.
