Jonah abused

It was all Daniel's fault. At least, that's what he told himself. Of course, it was on the back of the boys minds, but none of them would ever say it out loud. No one should ever have to carry the burden that they severely hurt one of their best friends and bandmates.

It all started when Daniel suggested they all go home for a couple of days. The boys had just gotten off of their tour and we're having a bit of off time, but management was really pushing them hard to write song new songs for their first album. The boys loved what they did, but they were becoming exhausted. So, Daniel suggested they all go back to their families for a week. Everyone liked the idea, but Jonah didn't say a word. The boys figured he was just tired, and five flights were booked back home.

Jonah didn't want to go home purely because he hadn't seen his father since tour started, which was more than fine with him. He knew that he had to go home or else the boys would start asking questions. So the next day, Jonah was grudgingly getting on a flight back to his home. The whole ride there, Jonah tried not to think about what would happen when he got home, but his mind always seemed to wander back to the topic. He nervously flipped open his phone once the flight attendant said it was okay and tried booking a flight back to LA. The only problem was that the flight didn't leave until tomorrow. Jonah groaned. He could just go home tonight and then get to the airport in the morning before anybody noticed, but a lot could happen in a night. Jonah booked it anyways, figuring that the sooner he could get back the better.

He found his shaky fingers moving to the group chat he and the rest of the boys had.

Jo- hey guys

Zachy- Hey Jobear. How's ur flight?

Bean- yooo wassup dudes! Just landed!

Dani- boyz my mama made some good food

Jacky- I wish I had food

Jo- my flights good. Hey boys, why are we even going home? Why couldn't we have just stayed in LA?

Jonah typed, waiting for a response.

Bean- cause we missed our families.

Dani- is something wrong Jo?

Jo- nah, I'm just playin with all of y'all. See ya in a week.

With that Jonah put away his phone and put in his headphones, leaning his head up against the cool glass. He started to play music, trying to fade out the nagging thoughts in the back of his mind. Daniel's family came up to LA instead of him going to Oregon, so when Jonah showed up tomorrow afternoon, they'd probably all be surprised. He didn't care though, anything would be better than what his father probably had in store.

Sooner than he wanted it to be, the flight was over. He shot a quick text to the boys that he made it before grabbing his suitcase from the luggage return and getting a taxi. He went straight home, knowing his father would be angry if he stopped somewhere. He paid the taxi and sucked in a deep breath before walking into the big White House in front of him.

"Hello?" Jonah called out.

"Jonah!" Esther called out, running up and hugging her brother.

He brought her into a bear hug, laughing.

"Hey. Where's Svea at?" He questioned.

As if on cue, Svea ran and jumped up into Jonah's arms, wrapping her legs around his waist. "I missed you Joni." She whispered to him.

He rubbed up and down her back, "I missed you too."

"Jonah!" His mother called, walking into the front room with his father in tow.
