"Parents and dancers, get in here for the list!" Victor yelled as you and the rest of the team quickly ran into the dance room. You had just recently joined the Stars competition team, and you had passion to dance. Ever since you have joined the team, you've had the biggest crush on Lucas. He was very sweet, and funny. You quickly entered Studio 1, where Victor and Angel stood in front of the list. They had smiles on their faces, so you assumed they were pleased with perfomances. The team went to StarPower, where you placed first in your division with an awesome lyrical solo! The group placed first place overall, and Lucas placed second in his division! Jessi won her division, and Kimmy and Sammy won the duet category with a cool duet! "You guys did AWESOME!" Angel said, as a smile grew on his face. Your best friend Kimmy ran over and stood next to you, and grabbed your hand, bracing herself for the list. Victor smiled and slowly pulled away a card, and the name of the top dancer stood. Your name was plastered on the board in bold letters, and your picture was next to it. "MaryKate. You did a great job! Your solo was perfect, and you did great in the group performance! You deserve this! You work so hard, and it pays off. You will NOT have a solo, because you will be in a duet." Kimmy smiled, and hugged you tightly. She had a good grip, and she squeezed so tightly that you had to say "Kimmy, I can't breathe." She giggled softly and let you go. "Sorry MK." Victor smiled wider, and pulled the next card away. The board had the name Lucas in big bold letters, with a picture of him. "Lucas." Victor says. "You did a fabulous job at StarPower. You ranked second overall. You will NOT have a solo, because you and MaryKate have a duet together. It's called We Found Love. It's a contemporary piece." Kimmy nudges you slightly. She was the only one that knew about your crush on Lucas. You told her EVERYTHING. Lucas just smiled, and nodded at Victor. You were so excited about your duet with Lucas, that you didn't pay attention to the rest of the list! "Get ready for stretch!" Victor said, as you snapped out of your trance. You were just too excited, you could barely think!
