The Cyberman (a poem)

The shimmer of moonlight,

glinting off steel.

The glow of a blue light,

A menacing teal.

A creak breaks the silence,

as metal meets metal,

Wind swirls in defiance,

And leaves you unsettled.

A flash blue lightning

pierces the air!

It's freakishly frightening

and stands up your hair.

You search for a weapon,

but there is none to find.

The creature now beckons

to upgrade your mind.

"I will never become you!"

you cry out in fear.

"You will be deleted!"

Is the last thing you hear.

The sun now is shining

but no warmth you feel.

You see people crying

but they can't soften the steel.

Your eyes are dark holes,

you have no emotion,

You have no more soul,

but your mind is full-function.
