Once upon a time, there was a lonely dragon.

Now this dragon had a great life in a nice cozy castle surrounded by lots of shiny objects with days to spend to their own leisure.

But the dragon was not happy.

Actually the dragon was really lonely.

So the dragon moped around most of the days and waited,

wishing something would make their life even slightly more interesting.

Then one day, the dragon heard the main castle door open and get slammed shut.

The dragon knew their was no one around for miles and got suspicious as to who was here.

"Who dares enter my lair?' The dragon yells at the entrance by the door.

Suddenly around the front castle steps, a beautiful girl with a small crown a top her head steps forward.

She looks up at the dragon with a scared expression, her dress covered in mud and her eyes filled with tears.

"oh, hello." She says softly. "I'm the Princess of the North and I was taken from my home. And I don't know my way back."

The dragon looks up at the girl in front of them, up and down, taken aback by the young girl's appearance.

"Well, I have a nice castle here, if you want to stay, you're more than welcome."

The Princess smiles at the dragon.

"Oh thank you!" She says feeling relieved.

And so the dragon and the princess spent the next months together exploring the castle, learning about each others secrets and memories.

And then one day, when the dragon least expects it, another person comes slamming through the castle door.

"Who dares enter my lair?" The dragon yells at the entrance, only this time with the Princess behind them.

"Ah! For it is I! The Prince of the South!"

"The Prince of the South?' The dragon questions.

"I'm here to rescue the Princess of the North." The Prince of the South says.

The Princess of the North walks forward, having not seen another human life for months.

"Hello." She says to the Prince of the South.

The Prince of the South smiles at her. "Oh, hello, you've been missing for quite a while and I'm here to take you home."

But the Princess of the North didn't know if she wanted to go home. For she had made a lovely home in the dragon's castle.

The Prince of the South grabs the Princess of the North's arms and starts yanking her towards the door.

"Come on." he says. "Let's go."

The Princess of the North starts struggling and yelling "No! I don't want to leave."

The Prince of the South looks at her.

"You don't want to stay here with this nasty dragon." He says.

The dragon, who for months had felt all this warmth, suddenly felt cold.

"Get out of my lair." The dragon says.

And so the dragon watches as the Prince of the South and the Princess of the North leave through the castle doors.

The dragon feels lonely again.

But little does the dragon know that the Princess of the North makes her way back in through the doors and back up to the sad dragon.

"I'd never leave you." She says and she kisses the dragon's forehead.

The dragon, being overwhelmed with happiness again, begins to float up into the air.

Suddenly there is a blinding white light and where there once stood a dragon now lays a beautiful human girl.

She drops to the ground slowly and the Princess of the North looks at her astonished.

"You were never really a dragon, you were always this beautiful girl."

And the once dragon, now Princess of the East takes the princess of the north into her arms and kisses her.

Sealing their love forever.
