The days seemed to be repeating themselves, simply because they were. The first day Ash was able to stand, and walk about the castle, Shiro had introduced her to Allura, the princess, and she had explained to her about Voltron, and her duties. But the rest of the days all blurred together for her.

She would get up, hang out with her friends, get a distress signal, save the day, receive thanks from the residents, go home, and sleep. Squeeze in a few meals between some of those events, a few arguments between Lance and Keith, and that summed up the last few days.

Ash sat sadly on her bed, the blankets covering her legs as she held onto her phone as if it was the only thing keeping her alive.

She had been browsing for couple gifs, for whatever reason, and had come across one of a pair of holding hands. She simply couldn't tear her gaze away from it. It made her happy, yet sad. She couldn't tell why it made her happy, yet she certainly knew why it made her sad.

It made her dread that she would never have someone. Someone to kiss, to hold, to whisper too on cold nights, to hold hands with. She threw her head back into her pillow, a small sigh escaping her lungs.

"Psst, Ash!" Came a familiar voice. Ash looked about her room wildly, trying to figure out where the voice came from.

"Lance?" She whispered into the darkness, waiting for a reply. Her reply was a hand engulfing hers and yanking her out of the bed, a small gasp escaping her lips in surprise.

The Cuban boy said nothing more as he led Ash through the darkness of her room, and into a vent.

"Lance!" She called more firmly this time, but to her dismay she still got no answer. Deciding to give up, and just let Lance lead her to wherever he was taking her, she struggled to keep up with Lance, his grip on her wrist sending small shots of pain up her arm.

Ash sat up in her bed, confused. What a strange dream, she thought to herself. Nothing particularly happened in the dream, only a silent Lance dragging her through a vent.

"All crew members, please report to the lounge." Came Allura's voice from the speakers. Ash slipped off of her bed, her baggy gray sweatpants and white t-shirt catching air as she ran down the halls and into the lounge.

Noting that she had been the last to arrive, she let out a huff and noticed the lounge was in fact a pull-out couch, the enormous bed sprawled in front of her.

Keith noticed her walk in, and approached her. Ash had been pretty anti-social since she woke up from the incident on the lion, even with Keith. He respected her decision, and didn't want to bother her, but he needed to talk to her.

"The heat was cut in all of our rooms," he said, walking closer to Ash. At his words, she turned her chocolate gaze to Keith.

"We all have to sleep on that," he said, pointing at the bed, which Pidge and Hunk were bouncing on.

"Hgn, fine, but I'm sleeping next to you," she said coarsely, poking Keith's toned chest roughly.

*********

"Alright, time to sleep," Allura called, the room falling quiet. Ash didn't move from her position, her knees tucked to her chest, her back against the wall.

"Ash I must insist you join the others," Allura's voice came from next to Ash, making Ash turn her eyes towards her.

"I'm not tired," she mumbled, hugging her knees closer to her chest. Allura turned away and approached the bed, Ash lost sight of her as she covered herself with the blanket.

Soon, Ash begun to feel cold, the lights off, no movement in the room. Shakily, she brought her arms up, rubbing them to create whatever friction and warmth she could.

A presence was felt at her side as Keith slid down against the wall, sitting next to her. She sighed gratefully as she felt him place his warm jacket over her freezing arms.

"Come on, let's get you in there," he said quietly, helping Ash to her feet. He walked her over to the large bed that was shared by everyone else on board. She sighed and hesitantly crawled in next to Lance, and soon after felt Keith lay on her other side.

Despite the newfound warmth, Ash continued to shiver as she turned towards Keith. Keith outstretched his arm, signaling for Ash to use it as a pillow. She gladly shifted closer to Keith, using his arm as a pillow, and his remaining mobile area of his arm closed around her.

Keith smiled to himself as he felt Ash's breathing slow down, signally she'd entered sleep. He let out a small sigh, looking up through the glass roof of the ship.

He felt something against his chest. Confusedly, he looked down to see Ash using Keith's chest as a pillow, softly snoring.

Keith tensed up, not knowing what to do. They had lay together all the time on Earth in the cabin, but this felt different. Her touch made his heart beat a little faster, as she snuggled into his chest, trying to keep warm from Keith's body heat.

Keith's widened eyes finally returned to their normal state, and his body relaxed, Ash's body heat acting as a heating pad. He took his arms and set them loosely against her back, buried his face into hers, and soon fell asleep.
