24. Objection (Idk what this is tbh)

Oh my god, today is the day! I'm getting married. Oh shit. I'm getting married! Do I want this? Do I want to marry Lance? Do I want to marry him. Do I really want this? Oh god... "(Your name)! It's time!" You hear Allura break you out of your thoughts. "Oh! I'm sorry I was in my thoughts!" You looked around to find your bouquet. And three steps ahead of you Allura hands you the bouquet. You smile and Allura walks out to find her partner, Shiro. You take a deep breath before you look into the mirror and see a person you didn't recognize, a women who was playing dress up and is the attention of the day.

You broke out of your thoughts by the man that is going to walk you down the aisle. Your best friend since childhood, Keith. You smile when you see him in the mirror. "You look... Beautiful." Keith smiles a little bit before walking up to me. "Thank you Keith, this means a lot to me. Since I don't have a father..." You sadly smile at him. He sighs but carefully brings you into a hug. "No problem, I'd do anything for you. Now, let's go and get you hitched." He smiles before you link arms. That's when you felt the tension. You ignore it before heading towards the door and into the lobby of the church.

You took another breath before you hear the wedding song being played and the doors open and you and Keith are revealed. You feel all the eyes on you except one pair. Your fiancé's. Lance wasn't looking at you. And you knew the truth. You gather your thoughts on how to go about this and you look to see Allura your maid of honour smiling brightly at you. Keith is Lance's best man but is walking his soon to be bride down the aisle. You had to do something but didn't know what to do.

As the ceremony goes on you're clouded in thought. "Or forever hold your peace." You looked to Keith and see a forced smile at you and you look towards the crowd the clearly say, "I object." Everyone gasps including Lance. You lift your veil and smile with tears forming. You didn't want to marry him. You stepped towards Lance and said, "I know I'm not the person you want to marry. I know about everything, Lance. I know who you're really in love with." You says before handing him your ring. "And I'm sure you know who I'm really in love with." You smile before taking your veil off and turning to Allura and turning to Keith.

"Keith, I've known about this relationship you've had with Lance for a very long time. I can sense the pain from you all day. But the truth is, I'd rather you marry him today rather than me." You smile before pulling him into a hug. "Get hitched today, okay?" You whisper into his ear and you feel the tears go down your shoulders.

"This was an arranged marriage from the beginning but I refuse to do this. We both have a love of our lives but it's not me and Lance as a couple. It's Lance and Keith. They've been together for as long as me Lance were forced to be together. Yes he "cheated" but I "cheated" as well. We only did this to make our parents happy. But what about our happiness." As you finish your boyfriend steps out from the line of groomsmen.

"(Your name)!" He says with tears going down his face. You smile widely and reply, "Matt!" He brings you into a tight hug and looks towards the other couple. "How about we both get hitched?" He asks you and the boys. You smile and nod quickly before looking at the crowd. You scan for your mother and she walks up to you and places your veil over your face and says, "I never wanted this marriage, honey. It was your father's idea. All I cared was about how happy you are." You smile before looking at Lance's family.

"Oh honey, we just went along with your father's plan. We thought you two were happy with each other..." You smile and turn to Keith. "Let's walk each other down the aisle shall we." You smile and wait for Keith to link arms with you. He grins and links arms with you and the wedding planner managed to get a plan together and reset everything in a matter for twenty minutes. "Let's get hitched." Keith chuckles and walks you back down the aisle once more. And all the bridesmaids and groomsmen reset and you and Keith wait for your signal.
