"Nick! Will you wake Chloe up? She needs to be fed!"
"What? Oh yeah honey, I'll do it!"
"Great! Thanks!"
I walked into the kitchen and grabbed the Cheerios. I watched as Nick walked downstairs with Chloe.
"I'm sorry for having to yell when your're all the way upstairs, I just wish we could have more time to do things with Chloe and time for us."
"It's fine, that's what happens when you have a job which takes you anywhere in the world. All that matters is that you come back."
"Oh Nick, you are just so wonderful. I knew I married you for some reason."
"Haha, you got that right, Maggie!"
I looked at the clock on the microwave.
"Oh no! It's late and I have to get going!"
I grabbed my briefcase and my shoes and ran out the door.
"I love you!"
Nick walked out the door with Chloe on his chest. He held up her hand and waved.
