Katie Mitchell *POV*

I looked hungrily at the plate of chicken lo mein that laid in front of me. I bit my lip, waiting to eat it, despite the hunger that gnawed at my belly.

Shawn eyed me, smiling. "What would I have to do in order to be looked at like that?" He smirked, chuckling.

"Wouldn't you like to know..." I replied flirtatiously.

"What are you waiting for? The food's going to be cold!" Shawn raised his eyebrows, questioningly.

"I don't know. I wanted to be polite," I gestured toward him.

"Here I thought I was supposed to be the polite one... go ahead and eat already." He shook his head.

He didn't have to tell me twice, I bit into the noodles, savoring the flavor. I twirled the noodles around the tip of my fork.

Shawn fought back laughter. I was probably the only nineteen-year-old who played with her food before she ate it. "What?" I moaned with fake ferocity.

     "N-nothing," he stammered.

"Good, otherwise you'll be professing love to the pillow in the guest room tonight," I teased. We laughed at my comment.

We sat talking and eating our meal for an hour until we finished and decided to head home. As  we walked toward his Jeep, Shawn escorted me to the passenger side, opening the door as only a true gentleman would. I smirked, stepping in before he closed it. I closed my eyes, wishing this moment would never end...
