Brendan
I woke up in a white room. I looked around to see amny white beds and realized I was in one myself.
"What the fuck." I muttered, sitting up.
"Lay back down boy! You might pass out again!" A woman in white robes who I hadn't noticed before scolded.
I hesitantly layed back down. "Where am I?" I croaked tiredly.
The woman chuckled. "In the infirmary dear. Zabini and Parkinson brought you in, you were out cold with a broken nose."
Confused, I thought back to the last thing I remembered.
"Fuckkkkkk." I groaned, remembering what had happened.
"Language, boy." She tsked from beside me.
I rolled my eyes just as the headmaster walked in.
My eyes widened and I slowly regretted what I had done........ Actually no I didn't. I just regretted getting caught. Stupid Malfoy.
"Come with me." The headmaster said in a stone cold voice.
I shuddered and slowly followed him out of the room.
The long walk to his office was silent, and something told me I shouldn't change that.
Finally arriving at Dumbledores office, he whispered the password and slowly walked up the staircase.
I resisted the urge to tell him to walk faster, and followed him up.
When we came into the office, he went straight to his chair, and motioned for my to sit in one of three chairs in front of him. I sat on the farthest to the right.
A few minutes went by. "What are we waiting for, sir?" I asked slowly.
Then I heard a knock at the door. "Them." He smiled at me before he told them to come in.
I looked up to see Maddie and Malfoy.
He snarled at me and grabbed her hand, pulling her behind him protectively.
He sat between the two of us and shot me a dirty look that said, "If we weren't here you would be dead right now."
I looked away quickly.
"Let's begin." Dumbledore rasped.
Maddie
Sitting down next to Draco, I stared at the floor, hands shaking.
He squeezed my hand and looked back at the headmaster.
"I assume you all know why you're here." Dumbledore stated.
Nobody responded, but he continued none the less.
"For punishments, Brendan shall be expelled. Draco you will have detention for three days, and Maddie-"
"Wait what?" Draco interrupted,"Why does she get punished?" He asked angrily.
"Well if you'd just let me finish Mr. Malfoy you would have known that I was only telling her to stay safe." He gave a warm smile to me.
"Oh." Draco said awkwardly.
"Brendan you are to leave now." Dumbledore stated.
"And Draco, please take care of her." He nodded.
As Brendan walked out, Draco squeezed my hand and we followed him out the door.
I slowly walked beside Draco as we made our way back to the common room, and halfway there I started crying once more.
Draco turned to face me immediately, a mixture of pity and sadness in his eyes. "Sweetheart, don't cry." He mumbled pulling me into a hug.
That only made me cry harder, and when I slowly lowered myself to the floor, he didn't let go, and simply lowered himself with me.
We sat there on the floor in the hallway in silence, other than the occasional sob or sniffle from me, and noises of comfort from Draco.
After a few minutes, I finally stopped crying and we slowly pulled apart. Draco fidgeted with his fingers for a few moments before sighing.
"What?" I questioned.
"Well.. I just didn't know if now was the right time..." He stuttered.
"For what?" I asked slowly, turning my body to face him.
"Well... For this." He said, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a ring.
I gasped, bringing my hand to my mouth.
"I'm not asking you to marry me! Though I would like that someday. Which is why I'm giving this to you Maddie, its a promise ring." He said awkwardly yet sweetly at the same time.
I smiled, hands shaking as he took my left one and slid the ring easily on to my finger. I brought my hand to my face examining the ring.
"It's beautiful." I breathed, eyes starting to tear up.
"I'm glad you like it." He smirked.
"Like it? I love it!" I laughed, bringing both of my hands to the side of his face and touching our lips together.
He immediately pulled me on to him and brought his hands to the back of my head.
I smiled through the kiss and pulled away, leaving our foreheads touching.
He smiled at me and tried to kiss me again.
I got up off his lap and wagged my finger at him playfully. "Ah ah ah." I smirked, grabbing his hand and pulling him up so he was standing beside me.
He frowned, and I leaned forward so my lips lightly grazed his. I pulled away before he could actually kiss me, a smirk on my lips.
"Tease." Draco groaned, pulling away.
I smiled, "Don't worry, I'll make up for it later." I winked, turning away to go to my next class.
"Damn right you will." Draco smirked, leaning against the wall and biting his lip in a way that made him look incredibly sexy.
I restrained myself from walking straight back there and kissing him again, and made my way to defence against the dark arts class, smiling down at my new ring.
Draco
I walked away from Dumbledores office hand in hand with Maddie, trying not to explode with anger.
Then I heard Maddie crying beside me and my anger was instantly replaced with worry and sadness for her. "Sweetheart, don't cry." I mumbled, pulling her into a hug. This only made her cry harder and I frantically searched my mind for something I could say to stop the tears. I stopped though when she started to slide down to the ground, I was going to hold her up, but I felt she needed to sit down, so I sat against the wall with her, not letting go.
I thought about giving Maddie the promise ring I had bought with Blaise a few days back when he bought one for Pansy, and instead sat fidgeting with my fingers and then sighed, wondering if it was the right time.
"What?" Maddie said beside me, awaking me from my trance.
"Well..I just didn't know if now was the right time..." I said slowly.
"For what?" She asked, furrowing her brows.
I sighed inwardly. Now or never. "Well... For this." I said blankly, reaching into my pocket and pulling out the silver ring.
Maddie's eyes went wider than ever before and she quickly covered her mouth with her hands.
I panicked and almost dropped the ring. "I'm not asking you to marry me!" I blurted out. Shit, now she's going to think I don't want to marry her. "Though I would like that someday. Which is why I'm giving this to you, Maddie. It's a promise ring." I awkwardly finished.
She smiled at me and I took her hand, sliding the ring onto her finger. She stared at the ring in awe, and her eyes started to tear up.
"It's beautiful" she whispered.
"I'm glad you like it." I smiled in return.
She looked at me once more. "Like it? I love it!" She beamed.
I was about to reply when she grabbed my face and kissed me, I pulled her onto my lap and tangled my fingers into her hair.
It was over as quickly as it started. She leaned her forehead against mine, and I tried to kiss her again but she pulled away.
Standing up she shook her finger at me. "Ah ah ah." She scolded, grabbing my hand and pulling me up to stand beside her.
I frowned and was about to protest when she leaned in again. I expected a kiss, but she lightly touched our lips. Hungrily, I tried to kiss her, but she pulled away, smirking.
I groaned, "Tease" I mumbled.
She smiled, "Don't worry, I'll make up for it later." She winked sexily.
"Damn right you will." I smirked back, leaning against the wall and pulling my lip in between my teeth as I watched her start to turn away.
I was expecting her to turn back, but she simply kept walking to her next class.
"Oh what you do to me." I sighed, running a hand through my hair, before heading to Herbology.Damnnn. This was a pretty long chapter but that's ok lol
