Disgust has control of the panel watching on the screen as Shelby is making cup holders folding the bag over.
Disgust gags "that one. looks. disgusting."
Hearing her happiness speaks up not liking the whole panel of emotions being so negative "that's okay, we got a lot more to do. We can get better. That stack she's getting made looks pretty good doesn't it?"
Disgust snorts "I GUESSSSS-" only to be cut off as the screen pans upwards as Shelby looks up to see her coworker Austin approaching the front counter.
Despite this anger turns to disgust "you know it pisses me off how bad she is with her hands... You'd never know she used to play Mozart on the piano."
"I know right-"
Happiness interrupts "shh! Guys! I can't hear what he's saying!"
Austin looks at Shelby suddenly seeming shy "nevermind.. I'll ask you later."
Happiness deadpans "he's going to ask her out."
Seeing Austin walk out of view of Shelby disgust turns to happiness "what? Why would anyone ask her out? Don't you think if that she were a plausable option for guys that would've happened by now? She's 20. Guys obviously don't look at her like that. Have you SEEN her nose and her block like body? NO Guy would find that attractive-"
Happiness just crosses her arms "or he's going to ask for her number"
Fear shakes her head seeming worried as she looks at the screen "h-he's probably just playing with her.."
"What? Come on he seems nice. He wouldn't do that."
Fear looks over at happiness. "He's a guy. He knows she's never had a boyfriend before. He probably sees her as an easy target"
"I'm calling it. He's going to ask her out over text."
"Doubt it"
About an hour later Shelby stands at the soda machine refilling the straws as Austin walks up as he's about to leave his shift.
"Hey Shelby can I have your number?"
Hearing this fear screams "O-OH NO!"
Happiness looks over at her "why are you freaking out? That's a good thing! I TOTALLY called it!!! Quick! Find the number!"
"We never saved it!" Fear yells back.
Shelby looks over at him "i-i actually don't know my number"
Austin laughs "you don't?"
"... I-i used to know it.. b-but then I had to get a new phone when I moved here.."
"Fuck that new phone number. I loved our old one better."
Sadness looks up at fear from her cage in a dark corner speaking quietly "yeah.. it started with 222.."
Hearing anger fear just faceplants "I-i hope he doesn't think she's just trying to reject him..."
Anger looks over at fear "instead of sulking how about you just fucking remember the number one of these days...?"
"because it's too long" disgust shoots back. "We can hardly remember her address and social security number."
"OR.. y'all are a bunch of idiots who need to get your heads screwed on straight."
Despite the bickering, happiness takes control of the panel having an idea.
Shelby turns to Austin "how about you write down your number on a peice of receipt paper?"
At that Austin goes over to the counter getting out a piece of receipt paper as he looks up shyly "I actually don't know my number either"
"It should be in your settings."
Happiness turns to fear and disgust "you know things would go a lot smoother for her if y'all just let me do more."
Disgust snorts "you know why we don't do that happiness. You always end up embarrassing her. It's disgusting.. remember high school...? People still can't take her seriously because of you"
"I'm not embarrassing her right now am I?"
Disgust looks at happiness for a moment before glancing at the screen seeing Shelby very smoothly navigate through Austin's phone to find his number in his settings as he then proceeds to write it down before handing it to her. "Call me"
"... No, your actually doing pretty good... Suprisingly."
As happiness still has the controls Shelby walks to the back of the restaurant to get cup lids not being able to help but smile a little at her success as she walks back to the front.
"the way he said "call me" ... ah, that was so cute don't you think?" Happiness says to the team gushing.
"Not anything different from any other guy.." disgust says looking at her nails.
