According to scientific studies, every person has been or will be homeless for at least a week. My case is slightly worse. I have been homeless for over a year now. Only recently have i been sleeping on the streets. I have been bouncing from friend to friend, living where ever I can.

My name is Marcus. I am about to turn 19 in a month. I left my parents house two weeks before my senior graduation. I was already going to fail that year anyway, so i just left. Also, i just couldnt stand the sight if my stepdad, Jonathan, anymore. I still put up with him whenever I go to visit. I do it for one reason: because he makes my mom happy. I want the best for my mom and he seems to make her the happiest hes ever been.

You are probably wondering: where is your real dad, Marcus?

Well, to make a long story short, he's been dead for 10 years.

When I was 8 years old, my father passed away because of a blood clot in his leg that had become dislodged after a bad fall. During the night, the blood clot made its way to his hesrt and stopped it, killing him instantly.

I miss him very much. This Wednesday, the 15th, is his death day. I dont plan to do anything but Moran.

Last night, i had my first true homeless night. I had to sleep under a tree in a Wally World parking lot. (For copyright reasons, the true name of the store will be left untold by me). I didn't sleep well at all.

A/N: All of this is true. More to write tomorrow.
