The darkness is my day
and the night is as a thousand dawns to me,
having everything but the light,
which one can do without when one loves
the lesser light of
night,
of yellow lamplight
and cozy candlelight
and luminescent moonlight
and starlight
and the aura of the life, overlaying the beautiful blackness of
night.
The darkness is my day;
that's the only way that I can tell it's time to sleep.
The darkness keeps your day away from me,
and lets me keep my day to shades of gray.
The night you throw away is as a thousand dawns to me,
and I see them all except the dawn of day.
