For those of you who don't know what a cairn is, it is a mound of rough stones built as a memorial or landmark, typically on a hilltop or skyline. Cairns are most commonly used by hikers to tell others that they are on the right trail.
While on vacation in Sequoia National Park and King's Canyon with my family and friends, we stumbled upon an army of cairns by the side of the road. There, just past a four foot ledge, was hundreds of cairns spanning the length of a about 50 feet. Looking back now, I wish that I could tell you where in King's Canyon it was, but I unfortunately can't. If you ever visit, it's on the shoulder of highway 180 (California), overlooking some mountains.
Here are some pictures that I took of this majestic finding.
My dad got in that photo XD^
^Looks like a demon summoning
^View of the cairn army from the top of the ledge. (this is only about half of it)
My friend decided to add a cairn to the massive collection.
