Jaune POV:
"CRAPCRAPCRAP!" I screamed as I jumped out of the way of the deathstalker's stinger as it is swung down. I dashed forward as fast as I could while it pursued me.
"WHY, why was I stupid enough to try and distract that deathstalker!" I scolded toward myself.

I came rushing out to the sound of screaming, as I ran outside with Crocea Mors ready only to be met with the sight of the village under attack by Grimm. The Grimm were overflowing the streets and began attacking whoever was closest to them ripping them to shreds or trampled by the mass of Grimm. And I, Jaune Arc, did what any hero should have. I fought.

My armor and weapons were to worn down and broken; it also weighed my down. I dropped my armor as well as my broken weapons and continued my sprint into the forest.
Everything was wrong. It was so, so wrong. Terrible. Horrible.
So many dead in so little time. So many who I failed to save. Why? Why couldn't I save them?
'Because you're a coward.'
I took a moment to stop and release the contents of my stomach onto a nearby tree. The distant roar of the Grimm, however, only reminded my sore legs to run.
So I ran.
I ran until I came across a metal yet futuristic door on the side of the cliff that I had come across. I rushed toward the console on the side and began to tap frantically, not knowing what it was or what it was for. I threw myself in as the door opened then it closed behind me. It made a few clicking sounds to signify it was locked.
I sighed in relief.
"What is this place?" I asked in wonder as I took in my surroundings.
The place was a massive and breathtaking in every way. From the futuristic texture to the great expanse of the room.

The screeches of the Grimm began to start again as well of the sounds of the Grimm banging against the door to get in. I panicked and began to rapidly tap at one of the consoles, a blue swirling portal appeared in front of me. The screeches and bangs of the Grimm were getting larger and larger. In fear, I jumped through the portal only for my vision to blur then go black.
??? POV:
Our scout group was assigned to scout ahead and find any Covenant or Human bases ahead. We had finished our mission observing the Covenant storage facility and were heading back to base to give information on the terrain and enemies ahead, but as we were, a blue portal opened up right in front of the group (the group was 3 brutes and 7 grunts). We all stood ready to fire if any hostile were to exit the portal. We wait for a minute, then two, until suddenly a human, most likely child based on the size and looks, came staggering from the portal and collapsed on the ground.
"Hold your fire!" I yelled.
"Why hold fire? It's just another fleshy human," One of the yattering Grunts shouted.
Of course it would think that. No brains or brawn, the little imps. They cared little for ideas or reason, only orders, food, and pleasure. Idiots.
"It is just another human, but how did it get here? I want answers from this human and I am sure Atriox may have questions as well. So pick it up and we'll bring it to base with us."

Jaune POV:
I tried to open my eyes but everything was blurred and hard to see after a few moments I could finally see clearly. I was being dragged by a large ape like creature with heavy metal armor with red and grey coloring. As it was dragging me I saw other creatures as I was being dragged some of them were wrinkly, had tanks on their back and gas masks. Some of them were bird like had a short amount of feather while similar looking ones looked more savage but had much more feathers. There were also four mandibiled creatures as well.
The hairy being stopped before a throne with one of the ape creatures on it.
"Atriox, I have brought the human from the portal that we found on the recon mission," It spoke in a low, yet, savage, tone.
His voice made me still like I was frozen in the cold. Fear began to fill me as I looked up and saw Him. I was small prey in the space of the alpha predator. There was no escape.
The creature's voice deeply rumbled with an answer, "Very well then, Kronos, you may drop it. I want to hear it speak."
Well that's the end of the prologue. Sorry if you expected more, but more of Jaune will be explained as the chapters go by (flashbacks, background talk, and casual talk between characters)
