Mike's POV

Jayne and I had just came in from a party. It was two in the morning and I knew Valerie was at the house with Vic, and Jaime was up in his room. We came in silently and chuckled lightly while I locked the door behind us. When I turned around to walk deeper into the house, Jayne instantly had me up against the door. It was dark and I knew she couldn't see me but I smirked anyways.

"Miiiiike." She dragged out my name in a sing song way and I wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Jaaaaayne" I copied her and she stood up on her toes to reach my lips.

"Miiiiike."

"Jaaaaayne." She finally kissed me and when she pulled away, she spoke again.

"Ice creeeeeam." I laughed at my girlfriend's bubbly personality and took her into the kitchen. I turned on a dim light so we could see and sat with a tub of rocky road between us. We spooned ice cream into our mouths and whispered about random things. I heard the front door open, and we exchanged confused glances.

When I got up to go see who it was, black tears ran down Anne's face and I looked behind her to see Tony shoot me a sad smile.

"Yeah Anne, you can go upstairs. There's a guest room all the way to the back and to the right or you can go in my room which is right across from it. Anne nodded sadly and sniffled before making her way upstairs with four bags.

"Mike, I know, she just got kicked out. She has nowhere to go and-"

"Tony, it's cool. Vic and Jaime probably wouldn't care either. We all know Anne, it's not like she'll be some giant burden. Just don't get distracted when we need to do work and we shouldn't have a problem. Is she okay?"

"Meh, her and her mother were never really close but it still hurts her. Hey, Jayne." Jayne had walked in and wrapped her arms around my back with her head leaning against my back.

"Hey, Tony."

"Alright guys, I'm going upstairs. Try not to be loud, it's three something in the morning." I gave him the okay and he disappeared up the stairs. I smiled realizing Jayne was still hanging on to me. I let her waddle behind me as I turned off the light, and made my way to the family room of the house.

The tv was in there and I was bored but when I sat down, her lips caught mine and I gasped at how sudden this kiss was. Jayne was clever and she ended up leaning back, slipping her body under mine.

My hands were firmly placed on her hip bones, pinning her to the couch, and my lips moved down and up under her jawline where I knew I could make her just lose control if she let me.

But she didn't.

A hand pressing up against my abdomen told me to stop and I let out a frustrated sigh. Sitting up in the dark, I felt around for the remote and clicked the tv on. The light illuminated the room and I placed my chin in my hands.

"Mike?" I didn't answer.

"Mike?" Still no answer.

"Mike, I'm sorry." She tugged at the sleeve of my shirt and I finally turned to face her with an agitated sigh.

"What for, Jayne?" My voice dripped with annoyance and I know she felt every ounce of it.

"For doing that... again."

"If you're not ready, you're not ready."

"Yeah, but you wish I was. It's like sitting in a car that only moves with two passengers and I'm still getting ready to leave or something. It pisses you off that you have to wait around for your girlfriend but I'm just being careful, Mike." I got what she was saying, but she missed the point that I tried to get across time and time again.
