The next day came and y/n was estatic because winter had finally ended and here was spring.Her and Anne got ready for school, they both ran to the fields but then Anne went to Diana to help her with something and said I'll see you at school.

I run to the sunflower fields and just lay there, I just talk to them yes I'm weird 

"I just love the spring, don't you? everything just grows and it's beautiful, your roots are so healthy right now. Your so pretty you know, I like pink and white roses a lot but I think your very pretty too" I say as I lay there talking to the sunflowers and trees until I see a figure coming towards me. Gilbert 

"hey (Y/N), what are you doing here we have school?"  Gilbert says while looking at me up and down 

"I'll go to school we still have 1 hour, and I'll beat you as well" I say with a smirk 

"haha your funny" he says 

"I know" I say 

we just stand there looking at at eachother I feel something in my stomach, no no no it can't be I can't have butterflies. I just can't

"you wanna play hide and seek?" he says interrupting my freak out 

I  chuckle a bit "Am I hearing right, Gilbert Blythe, The Gilbert Blythe wants to play?"

"just come on (y/n)" 

"Fine, you seek and I'll hide, okay?" 

"yeah okay, now GO" he says cheekily 

I giggle a bit before running towards the long grass

"I'm gonna get you, in comingggg" I hear Gilbert yell 

I get up hoping Gilbert doesn't see me, he just saw me oh shit, I wink at him and then sprint as fast as I can, I can hear heavy footsteps behind me. I think I'm about to get away when I feel strong arms wrap around my waist and turn me around, Gilbert looks at me and then glances at my lips as I do the same, it's like the world is spinning and my heart is beating so fast that can't think properly. Our faces are so close that I can feel his sun warm breath on my nose, he starts lean in closer to me and so do I. what am I doing, I just can't control it out of nowhere but it feels like forever our lips touch and I just melt into him my hands go around his neck and I just play with his hair, his lips are so soft and they taste like cherry, with what seems like an eternity he pulls back, looks into my eyes and says 

"found you" 

I blush

"we have school remember" I say 

"yes let's go" he says as he takes my hand and entwined it with his I looks at it but don't do anything, I like this 

"let's go yes?"

"y-yeah lets go" 

we both walk to school talking about things that we like and what we want to be, he said he still doesn't know even though I know he wants to be a doctor
