It was a winter morning, beautiful white snow filled the sky as I walk towards the frozen lake, surrounded by trees flaked with snow, trying their best to flourish despite the chilly weather. I felt lost and confused inside this desolate and dead atmosphere, the sky suddenly turned dark filling the air with a blanket of frost. I sat down on the frozen bench looking towards the beautiful lake.
As I stood up, and walk back home since my house is only a few blocks away from here, I felt as if someone
was following me. I open my door I was shocked when I saw..
*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*
The loud ringing from my phone alarm woke me from my fragment of a dream, one which felt connected to my previous slumbering visions like a web unseen before my eyes.
I checked the time on my phone. "30 minutes late... Again." I sighed as I got up from my bed and started preparing for the morning. My mind snapped to realization. "Leidhelle! I haven't woken her up yet!" My door flew open as I rushed to my sister's bedroom, with the multicoloured door shining a kaleidoscopic barrage of colours into my eyes. I opened the door and was greeted with the familiar toys and messy space. "Morning sis, I see you're late again."
My sister said as she was wide awake and sitting by the window in her room. "Yea, yeah I know no need to remind me," I replied, sighing as I motioned her to go and eat breakfast with me. "So how long have you been awake?" I continued looking down at my sister. Her blonde locks, a bright contrast to my coffee coloured dark brown hair, her eyes were the same, bright blue swirls of optimism and innocence compared to my pitch black eyes, lidded with exhaustion carried on from last nights work.
"A while now," her cheerful voice replied, "How come you always wake up so late? Don't you wanna see the sun?"
"I get to see the sun every day," I rolled my eyes and ruffled her hair playfully, as we sat down to eat breakfast and start our day.
