Ako walked to her house with an extra spring in her step that day. Rinko and her had just parted ways, since their houses were in opposite directions, something that was a minor inconvenience. But there was no way that could get her down today. Nothing could. Her armor of darkness was fortified with the praise of the dark songstress herself! Woah, that was even cooler than usual. She internally congratulated herself on coming up with something that cool all on her own.

Ah, that was her house! She hummed the tune of one of Yukinas songs as she walked up the steps, pulling out her keys and quickly unlocking the door.

"I'm home, sis~!"

"Oh, welcome home Ako!"

She heard footsteps from the floor above her, and saw Tomoe descend down the stairs, a smile on her face.

"Tomoe, Tomoe, guess what!"

Ako could barely contain her excitement, jumping up and down with a huge grin on her face. Tomoe looked taken aback, but seemed happy that her sister was so happy. The older girl laughed a little bit and looked down at her little sister.

"What?"

"So I was talking to Yukina, right? And she apparently teamed up with this guitarist person named Sayo and they're both suuuuuper super serious about music and stuff and I kept asking them to let me join their band and they kept saying no-"

"That... Doesn't really sound like a good thing, but continue..."

"-but eventually they were all like 'well we should let her try at least' so they let me try out and I was all like wham! Pow! Boom! And then they said it was cool, or at least I could tell that they thought it was cool I don't remember exactly what all they said but that was basically the gist of it! So, now I'm in a band with a really cool singer and a really cool guitarist! Isn't that just the coolest thing ever?!"

Tomoe looked surprised for just a second, before her face slowly morphed into a proud smile.

"That's amazing Ako! I knew you had it in you!"

"Fufufufu~...... That is the power of my evil eye, rising from the depths of the underworld to consume all unworthy in its path~....."

Ako struck a cool pose, before immediately rushing to hug Tomoe.

"Ako, are you... Crying?"

"No! These are simply indications of the fact that the dark goddess is pleased~...."

"Alright, alright, well the dark goddess needs to get something to eat. I'm sure that drumming took a lot out of you."

Tomoe gave Ako a pat on the head before pulling away from their hug and going to make them both dinner. Meanwhile, Ako sprinted up the stairs to her room and computer, immediately logging on to her and Rinkos favorite video game. As she thought, Rinko was online. She immediately messaged her, eager to talk about everything that had happen.

xxQueenOfDarknessxx: rin-rin! call me, I need to talk about everything that happened 2day!!

•rinko•: Ako, didn't we talk about all of this on the way home...?

xxQueenOfDarknessxx: yeah, but I wanna talk 2 u! just call me pls!

•rinko•: Alright, calling....

True to her word, her phone started ringing, and her ringtone (a song from a foreign country, by a girl group) blared from the speakers. Ako quickly picked it up.

"Rin-rin! Hey! Thanks for calling!"

"A-ah, yeah, y-you're welcome... You said you wanted to talk about today?"

"Mhm!"

So Ako began to talk, and talk, and talk, a large smile on her face. Tomoe came up to her room to get her for dinner, but when she saw how involved she'd gotten in the conversation, the older girl decided to just leave her a plate of food and back out of the room, leaving the two friends to their conversation.

After they finally stopped talking, Ako just went to bed happy. Today had probably been the best day of her life, and she really really hoped this streak of good things could continue. But deep down inside, she knew it wouldn't be easy, considering how serious Yukina and Sayo took music. And besides, it meant she got to play alongside the coolest singer ever! What more could a girl want?

Well, there is one more thing she wanted... But that wasn't important now.
