PROLOGUE

"In three...two..."

The news reporter turned to his left and looked at the camera man. He nodded, letting the reporter know he was now on air.

The reporter let out a deep breath as he began.

"Teenage girls are known to cry, especially when it comes to boy bands.

Even more so, when it comes to the boy band One Direction. Known for making girls fall head-over-heals all around the world.

In 2010, those 5 boys- Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson-

showed up in the music scene after coming in third on The X Factor.

Taking over the UK, and soon after the USA, dominating the pop music charts along the way.

Unfortunately, those once teenage girls are crying over despair tonight.

After a long 20 years, One Direction has decided its time to go their separate ways.

Each of the 5 boys happily married and with children.

The first one to break the news was Liam Payne. Known to be the father of the group.

"Its time to say our goodbyes.

Me and the lads have had so many great memories we've made through this journey, that we'll never forget. And its all thanks to you. Our fans. We love you forever :).xx."

He tweeted earlier today.

We haven't yet heard anything from the other 4 boys yet, or their label SYCO music.

After 15 platinum albums, many sold out tours and millions of screaming girls, it's hard to think this boy band is coming to an end.

As well as the generating of pop music they created.

The whole world seems to be in despair tonight.
