We went to sleep last night and he asked if I wanted him to sleep somewhere else. I told him that he was crazy so we ended up sleeping together. He was really cuddly and he didn’t move a lot or snore like most guys do. He only cuddled a little in his sleep because he seemed like he thought he’d hurt me.

When I woke up in the morning he had his arms wrapped protectively around me and his face was nuzzled into the crook of my neck. I smiled and started to comb my fingers through his hair. He took a deep breath and went back to sleep for a while longer while I just stared at his beautiful face. I whispered his name and when he woke up his arms tightened around me and he snapped awake as his eyes scanned my face. His eyes widened before a huge smile spread across his face and he stroked my cheek with the back of his hand.

“Your so cuddly for a tough guy.” I said smiling at his body tangled with mine. I thought about it and decided that I had a nickname for him now. “I think your new nickname will be cuddly.” I stated, only half joking.

“Oh heck no!” He screeched as he started to wrestle with me. I fought back and ended up on top of him. I smirked and jumped off the bed running downstairs and hiding in the restroom. I heard him barreling down the stairs and remembered that he had that protective mechanism over me and was probably freaking out.

“Ariali!” He yelled and I could sense the urgency in his tone.

“I’m here Sammy,” I called out as I came out of the bathroom. His strong arms enveloped me as he hugged the life out of me. I wrapped my arms around his firm abdomen and he took a deep breath into my hair. His heartbeat was way to fast and I looked up at him to see if he was okay.

“I’m really sorry Sammy, I forgot. I’m okay so calm down okay?” I asked him looking into his beautiful eyes. He looked away and his bottom lip quivered slightly.

“I…” he trailed off as a tear slid down his cheek. It felt like a piece of me died, I just couldn’t see him in pain.

“Please, don’t cry Sammy.. Please.. “ I couldn’t finish my sentence as I slumped on the floor gasping for air and sobbing into my sleeve. Seeing him cry caused me more pain than I’ve ever had in my life.

“No Ariali, don’t cry baby please. I can’t see you cry, I’m sorry.” He pleaded as he held me against his chest. The pain immediately subsided and I felt safe in his arms.

“I’m sorry Sammy, it hurt me so much to see you cry that I felt like I couldn’t breathe.” I found myself telling him before I could stop. Everything just seemed to come out when I was with him. It felt like when I lied to him or didn’t tell him something I got nauseous.

“I just thought that someone took you..” He trailed off again looking away. “Or I thought you were going to leave me.” He said and when he looked up his jaw was tight and his eyes were unreadable.

“I won’t leave you Sammy. You’ll leave me first, once you realize that you deserve better than me.” I stated confidently. He smirked at me and threw me over his shoulder as he started walking out to the Jacuzzi. “No! Sammy, please!” I screamed, but I was to late and he threw me in. I came out and rubbed my hands over my face before grabbing him and pulling him in with me. He disappeared under the water and when he came up he was right in front of me. I put both my hands on either side if his face and rubbed my thumbs along his strong jaw line.  He closed his eyes and sighed, looking so happy that I felt like crying.
