-Departure- Chapter 2

Oh jack? Hahaha

I know where you are

I'm watching your every move..

"Pim, we need to leave now!"

Jack quickly pulls my by the wrist and we run.. and run.. and we don't stop until we reach his house. My mouth drops at the sight. Flames. Lots of them. Jack's house in flames. I continue to stare at the flames almost as if in a trance. They were so.. beautiful how they dances so gracefully in the wind and how the black smoke decorated the night sky.. simply lovely. Suddenly reality hits me. I hear Jack sobbing quietly at my side.

"No, no, no, no! My-my sister.. my family.. this isn't happening!"

Jack shoved through the crowds of people and managed to get a clear view of the site. It would be a miracle if anyone has survived this tragedy..

"Please, please tell me they're okay! Please!"

The police men shake their head in disapproval. This infuriates Jack. He struggles and struggled trying to get inside the house but they won't let him. I run up to him and hug him tightly from behind, tears rolling down my face.

"Jack.. I-I'm so sorry that this happened.."

He flips me around and hugs me in return, sobbing quietly in my arms, and I let him for the time being.

For what seemed like ours, Jack and I stood there, holding onto each other for dear life, until a police men came up to us.

"Jack.. sir, may I have a word with you.. alone?"

Jack shakes his head

"If you're going to talk to me, then Pim can hear too, she's family."

The police man nods in approval and clears his throat.

"Well first off, we have no idea what started the fire. We just came here as fast as we could once we recieced a call from one of the neighbors. Also, we searched the house in hopes of finding any signs of life, and believe it or not, we found one. She's in a very critical state as of right now, but with the right treatment I'm sure she'll live."

Jack smiled and squeezed my hand tight, tears of joy rolling down his cheeks.

"I knew you could do it Jane.. you're so strong, little sister.."

I hug Jack tight and assure him that it'll be okay. The police man nods and makes his way back to his cop car and drives off. Not too far off in the distance I notice a shadowy figure. The figure seemed to have on a black robe of some sort. I tell Jack and he jumps up quickly, balling his fists tightly. He looks over at the mystery person and grits his teeth.

"You'll pay for this you son of a bi-"

But it's too late. The figure disappears.
