The Fault In Our falls.

Zach's POV
it's been a few weeks since we found out about alex being pregnant. jack has decided to move here with us and he's been more supportive than anyone. my mom has completely stopped talking to me and changed the locks on the door so i can't go home. she had my dad drive over all of my stuff. he told me he loves me no matter what and that he wants to be there for me and not to tell my mom. i've dropped out of school which made alex mad but she got over it. i still post singing videos in my free time and did some mashups with jack. it's pretty fun.
"good morning beautiful." i said as alex opened her eyes. "hi" she said with a half asleep voice. her eyes closed for a second and then looked at me. she then jumped up, reached over and grabbed her bandana off the night stand. she went to cover her bare head and i stopped her. "you don't need it." i said slipping it out of her fingers. jack had drove the kids to school this morning because alex didn't feel good yesterday and i wasn't leaving her side. "zach, i don't want you to know me like this." she said. everyday she wears it and she only takes it off after i go to bed. i reached over and placed my hand behind her head i pulled her in for a soft kiss and a tear slipped down her cheek. i wiped it away with my thumb and she smiled. her smile lit up my world. "i love you." she whispered while 3 more tears fell from her left eye. "i love you more. both of you" i said rubbing her belly gently. she went to sit up and collapsed back down. she was weak. "i'll help." i lifted her back and put some pillows behind her so she was sitting up. i knew she was suffering without the chemo. i reached over and grabbed her pills and the bottle of water. "here." i said placing them in her hands. after swallowing them i turned to put them back on the desk. when i looked back she was adjusting the bandana on her head. she didn't need it but i didn't want to fight with her. i picked her up and carried her down the stairs. she almost fell down a week ago and i instantly called and ordered one of those chairs that bring you up and down the stairs. she told me she didn't want it, because it was for old people and i jokingly told her it wasn't for her and that it was for me. "zach, you don't have to do this everyday." she said with her arms wrapped around my neck. "yes i do. once we get the chair installed we can take turns riding it up and down. wow what fun will that be?" i said enthusiastically. "you seriously want that thing? i swear i would've thought you were the 7 year old in the house." she giggled. "hey! im 7 and 3 quarters." i gave with an attitude. i placed her at the table and brought out the plate of muffins me jack and avery made last night. it's quite funny that jacks last name is avery so when i call both of them i just say 'jack avery' and both of them look up. me jack nick and matt all play fortnite on the days avery and alex spend together. Today is another day we do nothing and chill around the house, we've had a lot of those. we were sitting on the couch and alex had her head on my shoulder. jack went to work, he got a job at chipotle because he loves it so much. we were watching The Fault In Our Stars which made alex cry really hard at the end (spoiler if you haven't seen it scroll past, but most likely you have) because the one guy with cancer dies and leaves the girl all alone. i didn't really pay attention because i was watching alex the whole time. i wrapped my arms around her while she sobbed into my chest for a while. "zach what if-" she said through her tears. "what if it happens to me? what if i-" "shhhh. well figure it out. i promise" she looked up at me, tears still streaming down her face, when a drop of a deep red liquid that brought me back to the first day we came here, dripped from her nose. it caused her to cry a little more. after we cleaned it up, i had to get the kids because jack was working late. i left alex in bed with anything she would need so she wouldn't get up while i'm gone. "hey kiddos!" i screamed while high fiving nick and matt and then scooping up avery with my one arm. on the ride home i told them to please be on their best behavior since alex was sleeping. when we got back it was really quiet, assuming alex was sleeping, i gave the kids an after school snack and set them up to do their homework. i then went upstairs to check on alex and found her on the floor in the hallway. my heart dropped. right as i was about to run over to her, my phone went off. i picked it up and read:
