New School
My mom woke me up this morning and set out my clothes. I'm wearing a pair of grey short shorts, a white tank top under a black and grey striped long sleeved off the shoulder shirt, black and grey striped thigh high socks - that I have scrunched up so they are on my knees - under black and white knee high socks, and black and white knee high converse. It was finished off with band bracelets and a simple music note charmed necklace. I actually really like this outfit. I wouldn't ever voice that to my mum though. My bangs framed my face, as always, and my hair was down. My backpack is checkered rainbow with different buttons and plushy key chains attached to it. I loved it; it was a gift from my dad.
"Autumn, are you ready?"
"Yeah dad." Both of my parents are dropping me off today. I ran down stairs after making sure I had everything. The drive was silent, except for my mum. She was talking about how excited she was for me. My dad simply nodded and agreed with everything she said. I sighed and looked out the window. The school came into view and I got a little nervous. My parents lead me to the office. We walked up to the receptionist desk.
"Hello, we're here for Autumn Colins." My mum said politely.
"Oh yes, the new student. The principal is waiting in her office." The receptionist said, "Autumn, here's your schedule. Good luck and have a nice day." I thanked her and left as my parents went to talk to the principal. I looked around and was a bit intimidated by all the people I saw. The school is bigger than my old one. I was walking and didn't see the person until I had ran into them.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." I said as I looked up. It was a guy about seven inches taller than me. He was well built with brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. He was handsome, but not as handsome as Dannie.
"It's no problem, cutie." He said with a smile. I didn't know what to say, so I looked back down at my schedule. "You're new?"
"Uh, yeah."
"Mitchell, man, what are you doing?" So, his name is Mitchell.
"I ran into the new girl. Remember, Mr. Schultz talking about us getting a new kid?"
"Oh yeah." He looked at me and openly checked me out, "Hey, I'm Trey. And you are?"
"Autumn?!" I heard a familiar voice call. I turned around.
"Dannie!" I called back happily. He walked over to me and gave me a hug.
"You know the new girl?" Mitchell asked. Dannie looked at them and then looked back at me. I just shrugged at him.
"Yeah, she's my neighbor."
"So, your name is Autumn? Sexy." Trey said. I took an unnoticeable step back.
"Um, yeah. Thanks... I guess." I said, "Dannie, can you help me find my class?"
"Sure. Come on." He said taking my schedule. I nodded and and followed him. All the while, I felt Mitchell and Trey staring at me. "Looks like you caught the attention of the football star and basketball captain. Best friends and two of the most well-known guys in the school." Dannie commented. My stomach sank. Are you kidding me?! I literally just got here!
"Autumn, this is awesome!"
"What is?"
"We have all the same classes. Except, two we have with Trey and Mitchell. We also have lunch with them." I groaned.
"When will spring break arrive?" I whined. Dannie just chuckled.
"Don't worry, it's in three weeks. You can tough out three weeks, right?" I reluctantly nodded and pouted as I plopped in a desk next to him. He laughed. The bell rang and the teacher walked in.
