| Prologue |

Sonic's P.O.V.

I was on my way home from a run, of course, when I saw Shadow and Amy in the park. Amy looked...beautiful.

Her beautiful sakura quills shined in the moon light, her jade eyes sparkled with joy, and her beautiful luscious lips were a beautiful gloss.

She was wearing a beautiful white dress with black rose petals as the design. It perfectly hugged her body and flowed at the bottom past her waist.

It only reached maybe an inch or two lower than knee level. Her quills were pulled into a curly haired pony tail and yet she still looked amazing.

Also instead of her usual boots, she's wearing some white flip flops. She's matured more than I had thought.

I stared at her for a minute then I felt tears rushing to my eyes. Why?

                Shadow was now on one knee a box in hand and a smile making its way to his muzzle.

I loved her all along, but sadly fate couldn't put us together. For her safety. For her sake.

I'd die if anything at all happened to her. I couldn't stand the sight any longer and ran off, into my dark house.

To be honest I preferred my house dark. It just seemed natural. Plus relaxing, and we're being green! ( :3 )

I walked into my house and immediately gasped. It was freezing cold! my pipes! I ran to the back of my house opening a door and looking to see if anything busted, or froze.

Just my luck.

My pipes were frozen solid. I sighed and trudged my way to them. First that whole fiasco with Shadow and Amy , now my pipes.

What a day eh?

I covered my pipes with a small blanket and turned the air off. Soon I closed the door and walked to my room plopping on my bed with a tired smile on my face.

And before you knew it I was out...

- LATER-

KNOCK

        KNOCK

                KNOCK!!

I heard a pounding on my front door and I groaned throwing my pillow across the room as I got up, poking at my eyes as I walked down the stairs.

I was now at the door and when I opened it I was surprised to see Amy at my door tears soaking her precious face.

It was pouring and she was soaking, her mascara flooding like a mini river. " Jesus Amy!" I grabbed her arm and pulled her inside closing my door as I did so.

" What happened? " I asked. She opened her mouth to speak but all that came out was a choked up sob. I pulled her into my embrace and she immediately started sobbing into my fur.

" Sonic it hurts. " She whispered. " What hurts Ames? " I asked as I pet her, to comfort her of course. She pulled away from me and shakily lifted a finger pointing to her chest, the spot where her heart was.

" Here. "

I placed my hand gently on the side of her face using my gloved thumb to wipe her river of tears. " Hey," I said softly.

" Why don't you tell me what happened over some desert?," I asked her. She nodded. I picked her up and she yelped with surprise.

" S-Sonic? " I silenced her. " Nah ah ah! no talking, shower first, I have some of Sonia's old clothes here so you can use, I need to get you warm again before you catch a cold. "

She nodded and I carried her up the steps and placed her down by the bathroom before getting her a towel and handing it to her.

" Just take a shower and get comfy, okay?" She nodded and with that she entered the bathroom closing the door with a small squeak.

Amy's P.O.V.

I walked into his bathroom to see a granite counter for the sink, and tile for the shower. I slid my clothes off and turned the water on slowly stepping in.

I feel odd showering in his house.

I've never even been inside before, so its really new to me. Once I was in I noticed he had blue berry scented body wash and I couldn't help but to giggle.

I hope he doesn't mind that I use some. I lathered my body with his blue berry scented body wash and grabbed some shampoo and conditioner. Both together were in one bottle so I really only had to use a bit.

I heard a knock at the bathroom door and my reaction was to say;

                " OCCUPADO! "

I heard whoever it was stifle a laugh and walk away. I turned off the water earning a screech which made my ears twitch in pain.

When I wrapped myself in the towel I opened the door and saw a box outside of it with a note on it. The note read, ' Ames here are some clothes, you pick - Sonic. '

I smiled and picked the box up. I pretty much found some clothes I was comfortable in, the only thing that I was having trouble finding was a nice medium sized shirt.

I wear small, but I always like a size bigger. I got dressed once I found a large T-Shirt  with the words ' You mad Bro?' on it.

The bottom part was some tight black sorts that past my waist line and stood above my knees. It was really nice of him to do this for me but.... who is this Sonia girl?

Sonic's never talked about her before.

When I walked down stairs, I saw Sonic pouring two cups of tea, a fresh baked apple pie on the table. He smiled sheepishly as he pulled a chair out motioning for me to sit.

I giggled and sat down. " Sonic who did this? " I asked. He sat down and gave me a shy smile. " Me. " He murmured.

" You know how to cook? " I asked curiously. He only nodded and handed me my cup as he took a small sip from his.

" I'm sorry it isn't much, but I had little time." I felt a blush wanting to creep its way onto my face and I knew it was there.

" Are you kidding? no one has ever done something this nice for me before." It was true, sure Cream baked me stuff, but that's only when she felt like it.

" It was nothing. Anyways, what's wrong Ames, I don't like seeing you down."

        I gazed down at my tea before only whispering so faintly that he could barely hear;

                        " Shadow and I got into a fight...and we broke up."
