So in this piece, Tae and Alex both have one line but since there are yoonglex hints in the fic, I decided to go ahead and tag Alex but not tag Tae. Wow, but I'm really putting out another norjoon fic so soon after putting out the my first ever one but lol that's just how into them as a couple I am. The lack of norjoon fics... Sigh such a shame. I actually peeped one earlier today but lol, lemme just say that I'm not so desperate for norjoon fics that I'd overlook bullshit aspects. My boo Tae deserves better like the fuckin nerve... Tch! "Tell meee," Mani whined.
Joon laughs. She was too cute. He booped her nose, smiling when she pouted cutely at him. "Nope!" Joon says cheerfully, making explicit sure to make the "p" pop.
Mani groans, stomping her foot childishly. "It's been eight years! I, as your best friend, deserve to know the name of the person you like."
Joon blinks at the beauty, raising an eyebrow at her. "Like?" The handsome teen chuckles, smirking at the girl. "I more than like them, Mani." He pauses so he can study the face of the girl he's been in love with for years. "I'm in love with them. I have been for years."
Mani sucks in a breath. Joon never makes her feel shy, a fact that's always made her smile, since she hated how shy she was. But the way he was looking at her right now was so intense that she timidly looks away, her heart beating wildly in her chest. "I-I see."
Joon smiles. He didn't know if he was a sucker for shy girls or just plain a sucker for Mani. He'd never stop finding her shyness adorable.
Mani still has her eyes averted from her best friend's gorgeous face, working to get her heartbeat under control. "They must be really special."
Part of him wishes she'd look at him. He wants to slip a finger under her chin and tilt her head up but knows that that's far too intimate of an action. Maybe one day... He smiles. "Yeah, she is really special."
Mani finally looks back up at her longtime friend. "Tell her how you feel, silly."
Joon scoffs. "And get rejected?" He leans back, crossing his arms. "Yeah, no thanks."
She rolls her eyes at him. "You're Kim Namjoon! You're the biggest catch! You're smart, sweet, funny, and the list goes on!" Mani holds back a sad smile. And it's because of those very characteristics that Joon stole her heart. Being together with Joon may be out of the realm of possibility for her but his happiness meant so much to her. And if this girl could make him happy, then she'd root for them with all she had.
