It's crazy how a four letter word can cause so much chaos and confusion,
It holds onto someone so tight creating sweet illusions.
Love is not easy to digest at times.
People get bitter and start spitting out rhymes.
To explain all that they have felt with that special one.
From the beginning, middle, up until it's done.
Exhausted from the roller coaster it presents to you on the first day,
Having to finally stop you don't know which way to stray.
Going from extremely content and stuck like glue.
Then it disappearing and its like you've been hit with the flu.
You fall into a great funk trying to figure out where you went wrong.
You lean on people and they end up telling you to be strong.
That's sadly not always the case.
People find another to replace.
Replace the emptiness they feel so deeply inside.
Trying to cover up their sadness they hide.
Some ashamed of their actions that caused their lover to hurt.
Others ashamed because they allowed their selves to be treated like dirt.
People effected by other's cold hearts.
Frozen solid only to hold together all the parts.
Hearts have been shattered, lives have been lost.
Is love really worth this hefty cost?
Don't get me wrong love is a tremendous feeling.
But the painful part is the aftermath process called healing.
Everyone is different but we are all the same when it comes down to what's inside.
Yet our hearts are so small it can't process what our eyes seem to hide.
Love has screwed most of us over and some may not want it ever again.
But I encourage you to see a person more than through your eyes and you'll be truly happy in the end.
