it all started on a normal shooting day in november. more specifically, in lili's trailer.

lili could feel her heart racing when cole walked closer. she felt slight fear, fear of where this would take her and her career. fear of losing him without even having him. fear of falling into a new relationship so quickly. all she wanted to do was grab him and kiss him, but her mind wanted to stop him, she couldn't risk everything she's worked so hard on for him.

"are you okay?" cole asked with a raised eyebrow. lili noticed that she had been staring at him this whole time and quickly snapped herself out of the gaze. "yeah, yeah i'm just stressed" she lied.

he reached out to put his hand on her cheek and she wanted to stop him, but she couldn't. his hand felt soft against her skin, it felt like it belonged there.

his face slowly moved closer to hers and she began to panic. "cole, we can't do this" she put her hand on his chest and stepped out of his embrace. "i know, but-" he began to say but she quickly stopped him. "no buts, it's not professional, it's not what we should do" she moved further away from him to stop herself from touching him.

it went silent for a minute while cole stood a couple of feet away from her, watching her as she went through a rollercoaster of emotions. the silence finally broke when he opened his mouth to speak. "lils, i know this isn't professional and i know this isn't what you 'should do', but i've never felt this way about someone else" he took a couple of slow steps towards her until they were as close as they were just a couple of minutes before.

"i need to stop whatever is happening here before i really fall in love with you" she said and looked away, but this time she didn't step away from him. she only needed to pull her head up slightly and their lips would connect, but she couldn't bring herself to do it.

"please, can you for once think about what you want and not what's 'right for you'" he said as he threaded his hand through her hair. she moved her gaze from the floor up to him and before she knew it, their lips were connected.

all though they had kissed as betty and jughead before a couple of times this was nothing like that. this was something new, something special. you could even call it magical. neither of them could or wanted to stop it. his hand moved from his side up to her waist and pulled her closer while his other hand was still threaded in her hair. her right hand went up to his face as her other hand slowly moved to his chest.

the kiss became more heated, more passionate. she knew she needed to break away from it, but it was like she was drawn to him, like he was the last puzzle piece that would complete her. she needed him, he needed her. when they finally broke apart, gasping for air, their foreheads were still touching. "what are we doing?" she breathed out. "i don't know, but it felt right".

lili had promised herself to not fall back into her romance with cole after that kiss. she thought she could survive with just that one kiss, but she obviously couldn't. all her free time on set, she spent looking at him. looking at all his beautiful features and all though she kept looking, she found no flaws. in her eyes, he was as close to perfect as one could be.

"lili" camila waved her hand in front of lili's face in order for her to fall out of her gaze. lili quickly snapped away, noticing she had stared at cole for way too long. "what's up with you and cole lately? you never talk to him anymore if you don't have a bughead scene and you stare at him all the time" she looked deep into her eyes.

"did anything happen between you two?" she asked with a serious face. "no, no i just have a bad day" she lied and walked away from her.

lili planned to go to the bathroom but she felt an arm grab her into a room half way there. the room was dark and she couldn't see who the person was so when the person turned on the light and she saw cole stand there, she wasn't surprised.

"cole, we're working!" she tried to give out an annoyed look, but cole couldn't miss the heart eyes. he could tell she was as in love with him as he was in love with her.

"i know, but how am i supposed to ignore my feelings for you?" he looked down at the ground in embarrassment as he noticed that he had just told her about how he feels about her.

"look, i know this is hard, but i like you as much as you like me, if not even more and i want to be with you so, so badly, but all of this is too much for me and it puts a pressure on me that i just can't handle right now and i'm already a complete mess, i don't understand how anyone would want to be with someone like me-" he interrupted her rambling.

"stop" he whispered against her lips as they had apparently stepped closer to each other. he pushed his lips on hers and she didn't push away.

this kiss was even better than their last kiss, it was filled with way more passion and way more love. both of his hands moved to her lower back and slowly made their way to her hips. her hands were tangled in his gorgeous black locks.

his tongue swept against her bottom lip and eventually made its way into her mouth. he slowly moved lower with the kiss and started going down her collarbone and eventually her neck. he left marks all over her upper body until she moved his head up to meet her lips again.

they both smiled into the kiss and wished they could stay there forever. "lili and cole are called to set now, have you seen them?" they could hear someone say outside of the door.

lili giggled a bit and stepped out of cole's embrace with a smile. "okay, so should i go out first or should we go out at the same time?" cole asked, looking a little overwhelmed but mostly extremely happy.

"well, it's a bughead scene after all" lili said and moved closer to him, tucking away the loose strand of his hair that always seems to make its way to his forehead. he looked at her closely and gave out a little giggle. "what are you laughing at?" she asked, a tiny bit annoyed.

"okay firstly, don't be mad at me, but your lips look a little bit swollen" he let his finger go over the swollen parts of her lips and smiled down at her. "coooooole" she yelled out and pushed herself away from him. she tried to feel the swollen parts of her lips as there weren't any mirrors in the room, but she couldn't really figure out how it looked.

"i promise, if i wake up with hickeys tomorrow, you're in for some trouble, cole sprouse" she looked at him playfully and smoothened out her betty ponytail.

"come on, we're called to set" cole said, completely ignoring what she had previously said.

"did the mention of hickeys make you nervous? let me remind you that i am the one having to cover them up in the morning, which is completely impossible by the way" she said, a bit playfully, but a bit annoyed.

"i can help you, lils" he said and put his hands around her waist. "you're so cute, but i think you would just make it even more of a mess" she said and kissed him quickly.

they finally got out of the room, one by one, making sure that no one was looking. after all if they wanted to continue with this romance they would have to hide it.

cole got home from set with a smile on his face. he was willing to do anything to be with lili, even if that meant they would have to hide it.

he pulled up his phone to text her a quick goodnight and got to bed pretty early, thinking about her.

lili lived with madelaine, due to a couple of reasons but mainly because they bonded pretty early over that they both struggle with social anxiety.

she sat down on the couch in their living room, processing all of the previous events. she still wonders if and why cole wants her. why would someone want someone like her? she was scared to go out in the public, scared to go to parties, scared to meet new people. why would anyone want to date someone like her?

but he was the one who kissed her, not the other way around. he was the one who confessed his feelings about her. he was the one who had made the first step.

beep, lili checked her phone that was now vibrating in her pocket.

she blushed slightly at his cute message and replied with a quick goodnight and then later went to bed with a huge smile on her face.
