"Jordynn Come Here!"
Hearing my mom calling me I stopped what I was doing and walked down stairs to see what she wanted.
"Yes Mom"
"Are you pregnant?"
"Yeah,I was gonna tell you but"
"What the fuck do you mean but. I worked my ass off so you wouldn't have to go through the shit I went through. You're following right in my foot steps. I made sure I did everything in my power to make sure you didn't have a child at a young age like I did. You can't keep that baby Jordynn!"
"What do you mean I can't keep my baby? I'm not getting an abortion. I'm keeping my child. I'm not you I'm not gonna struggle like you did. At least I know who my child's father is!"
"You're not gonna disrespect me in my house you can get an abortion or get out."
"Well I guess I'm leaving then"
I went upstairs and started packing my stuff and called my boyfriend but he wasn't answering, so I just decided to go over there. When I got there he wasn't there so I just took a shower and went to sleep.When I woke up I had 15 missed calls from his best friend. So I called him back.
"Yo Wassup?"
"Why I ain't you been answering? I called like 15 fucking times man. Shad is in the fucking hospital man bro got shot You need to get here NOW!"
"Are you fucking serious? Is he okay ? What hospital is he in?"
"We at UPMC you need to get her now man now!"
My heart was racing the whole time on the way to the hospital, Like my Shad my baby Shad. My better half my life line. When I got there I seen his family all in the waiting room.
"Ace where is Shad is he okay? Where's he at? Go get my baby"
Tears was just flowing down my face. I couldn't lose him I just couldn't. I didn't want no one at this point but my baby. I just wanted to hold my baby and kiss his lips.When the nurse approached us all I wanted her to do was tell me my baby is okay.
"Are you all the family of Rashad White?"
"Yes" his mother Ms.Darlene answered
"Miss I'm so sorry for your loss but he didn't make it"
Ms.Darlene broke down crying just by the way she screamed no one had to tell me I already knew. I couldn't believe it. I felt so numb. Everything went black. I woke up in a hospital bed and Rashads mom and his best friend Ace were right there.
"Where's Rashad?"
"Baby He's Gone. My Baby is gone"
I cried and cried. I felt like a piece of me left. Like half of my heart was gone.
"Ms.D he can't be they have the wrong one. Not my baby not my Shad not mines. I'm about to call him right now."
I called and called back to back but he just wouldn't answer.Ms.D had to get home so she gave me a hug and said she would call me later.
"Why won't he answer? Ace call him! I need him! I didn't even get to tell him he was gonna be a dad yet. he would've been so happy. He don't even know man."
The look on Ace's face was just so blank. He didn't say a word. He started pacing back and forth. He punched the wall.
"Damn nigga Shad why you leave me out here like this bro? Why ain't you hold on nigga?"
