The Neko and The Knight

Once upon a time there was a kingdom ruled by a heartless queen her name was Cassie Rose. Cassie hated everything that wasn't perfect she would send her knights out into town to see if anything was out of place or anything that was how she would call it weird. One morning she realized if she was to keep her kingdom perfect she would have to have a King to be married to so she could have children and keep her family reign on the perfect kingdom going. She knew exactly who she wanted to marry. Sir Daniel, a handsome knight who her father had made a knight when he was very young for saving the kingdom from an Ogre who had almost destroyed the orphanage. She never knew that before she could make him hers something would happen that would change the future of her kingdom forever.

" SIR DAAAAANNNNNNNIIIIIEEEEELLLLL!!!!"

The knight ran into the throne room to come face to face with her majesty Queen Cassie Rose. He kneeled down before her as she sat on her throne.

"Yes my queen what is it you require?" the knight said as he looked up at her from his kneeling position not losing the emotionless expression upon his face.

The thing is Sir Daniel never did really like the queen. He met her after he slayed the Ogre and became a knight when he was seventeen and he still doesn't like her and it has been ten years since then.

"I need you to go into the forest and hunt down this so called cat human monster thing that the villagers have been going crazy about" She spoke in her shrill angry voice that made Dan wince a bit as he heard it.

"What do you want me to do once I find the creature?" He asked raising an eyebrow questionably.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK!? I WANT YOU TO KILL IT! BRING ME ITS HEAD ON A STICK!!" She yelled angrily as she threw her hands about in a disorderly fashion.

Dan rolled his eyes at this "Whatever you say your highness" he said as he got up from his kneeling position and began to walk to the door.

"Oh Sir Daniel one more thing~" she said in a more flirtatious voice then what Dan was use to hearing from her.

"Yes your highness?" Dan said as he turned his body a tad to see her sitting on her throne.

"when your done with this mission I want you to know I have a dance saved for you at the gala in a few days~" She said as she fluttered her eyelashes repeatedly.

"Oh....uh thank you your highness" He said as he left the room swiftly.

After gathering his gear Sir Daniel made his way into the deep forest that neighbored the kingdom's village and as he was walking he kept wondering when he could stop being a knight for cassie and try to pursue his own life. He never wanted to be a knight for Cassie he was fine with being a knight to her father who was a kind ruler, thinking about how Cassie could be related to such a friendly person was kind of bazar.

"I swear if this creature does not exist and this was all just some old kook scaring everyone with stories I swear i'm going to be peeved" Dan said to himself as he was using his sword to cut down bushes and vines that were in his path.

It began to grow later and later until Dan decided to turn around and go back to the castle "This was all a big waste of my time, human cat person I cant believe people are falling for these stories, hybrids have been extinct for almost a hundred years now." he said as he began to walk back through the forest trying to find his was back to the castle. That is.....until he heard a sound.

"RRRRrrrrrRRrrrrrr"

Dan whirled around and came face to face with some kind of wolf that had horns growing out the front sides of its head. Its fur was blood red and trailed to the back of its body in a myriad of black shades. It had smaller horns propping up out the top of its spine and bits of its body was made of just bone.

"OH GOD!!" Dan yelped as he jumped back a bit to put distance from him and the wolf.

The wolf leapt forward in attempt to bite into Dan with its flesh hungry fangs. Dan had tried to leap backwards to dodge the attack only to have the fangs of the beast to plunge into the chestplate of his armor. He tried to slip out of the armor but the beast beat him to it and flung the chestplate off him and forcefully threw him against a tree.

"GAH!!" Daniel yelped as he felt the impact of the tree's sturdy bark. He slid down the tree into a sitting position at the bottom of the tree. He tried to get up only to have himself fall back down holding his stomach. He looked down at his stomach to see a large gash that was pouring blood like a waterfall in the beginning of spring.

The wolf began to charge at Dan running at high speeds. Dan squeezed his eyes shut ready for death to hit him like a hammer but what happened next he never expected to happen.

He opened his eyes to the sound of whimpering. The wolf seemed to have been hit in the snout with something. When the wolf began to growl again a rock was thrown directly into the face of the wolf causing the wolf whimper in pain and flee quickly.

Dan looked around rapidly trying to find the source of the rock that had been thrown but he cut himself off short as his vision suddenly became blurry. He felt weaker and weaker, he thought he could hear someone talking to him but all he could hear was a muffled voice. Before he fell into the dark abyss of unconsciousness he saw a blurry orange and brown figure above him.

 Dan woke up to find himself on a soft comfy bed made out of what seemed to be huge leafs and bushes. He tried to sit up only to find his body sting as if he'd had been stabbed, once he had finally sat up in the makeshift bed he looked down at his stomach that seemed to have been wrapped in leaf like bandages.

"W-Where am I?" Dan said to himself as he held his head in confusion.

Dan was brought out of his thoughts when he heard something rustling around in a nearby room. Dan cautiously got up and stalked up to the doorway of the room he heard the rustling. He waited patiently for someone to walk through, a short figure made its way to the doorway, it got closer and closer until.

"A-HA!" Dan grabbed the figure by its shoulders and held tightly so they couldn't escape.

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!" the figure screamed in a high pitched voice though it sounded male.

Dan looked down at the trembling figure to see a short man with curly, fluffy brown hair and freckles that dusted across his face. He was wearing a hand stitched hoodie that he himself probably made. But what most stood out about the young man were the orange cat ears that sticking out of his head.

"So your the Hybrid that the village was going nuts about" Dan said as he narrowed his eyes a bit at the young neko.

"I s-see your d-do-doing f-fine now..." the neko stuttered out as he trembled in fear.

"How am I and why am I here?" Dan asked still not letting go of his shoulders.

"Y-You were a-att-attacked by an D-Drae-lo w-wolf so I s-saved you a-and brought you here t-to h-heal you. I-I'm sorry I b-brought you here w-with out y-your permission I j-just couldn't l-leave y-you there to d-die, Im s-so so s-sorry" the Neko stuttered quickly as he squeezed his eyes shut scared of what would happen next.

The neko was a little surprised when Dan let go of his shoulders. The neko opened his eyes and backed away a tad bit from the blue haired human in fear.

"You saved me?" Dan asked looking down at the neko with soft kind eyes.

"Y-yes......" the neko spoke softly and grew a small amount of blush to his cheeks.

"What's your name?" Dan asked while smiling down at the small cat hybrid.

"M-my name? o-oh my name is Stampy, its n-nice to meet you" the neko perked up a bit not stuttering as much as during the beginning of the conversation.

"Stampy huh? I like that"
