Prompt: Harry has an asthma attack, and has to go to the hospital. Harry being afraid of hospitals, demands you stay with him, and makes sure he gets his way. :)
You were cleaning up the house when your fiancé walked through the door. "Hey Harry, I'm in here," you yelled from the downstairs bathroom. "Hi love," he yelled back sitting his keys down on the bar. He came in the room, and wrapped his arms around you in a hug. "Woah, your face is awfully red," you said to him. "I know. I haven't been able to breathe very good," he explained his British accent thicker than ever. "Like your nose is stuffy or your lungs?" you asked concerned. Harry has bad allergies and also bad asthma, either were concerning. "My lungs," he said trying to take a deep breath. "Have you used your inhaler?" you asked him. "Twice," he explained with a defeated look. "Maybe we should go to the doctor," you advised but you know better than to think that Harry would actually go along with it- Harry hated the doctor. "Nope," he immediately replied. "Harold, you are absolutely hard-headed," you respond crossing your arms. He just smirks and gives you a kiss, and runs off to get into whatever trouble he could find.
As the day went on, Harry's breathing got shallower and shallower. By 9:00pm, he was basically wheezing. "Harry, come on. Let's go get you checked out. You're wheezing," you said pulling on your tennis shoes. "No y/n! I am fine. Please don't make me go! Give me 30 more minutes, and one more try on the inhaler," he pleaded and you gave in to his puppy dog eyes. You had to get better about that. "Fine. One more time, and 30 more minutes, but if you wheeze once after the 30 minutes, you're going straight to the hospital. No questions or arguments," you said huffing. "I promise, love," he says and hops to get another puff on his inhaler. Meanwhile, you set a timer on the oven for 30 minutes.
Harry plopped back down on the couch. You looked at the timer, it flashed 5:00 minutes remaining. Harry had fallen asleep, soft snores coming from his mouth. Harry never snored. You got closer to listen to his breathing, watching his chest rise and fall with every breath. It was a little better than before, but not enough not to worry. He was still wheezing in his sleep. After the five minutes were up, you woke Harry. "Wake up, Harry," you said and he jumped awake. "Huh?" he said. "Sit up here, and let's see how that breathing is," you said. He sat up, and looked at you. "Take a deep breath," you said eyeing him. He tried and the rattling in his chest seemed worse than ever. "That's it. Put your shoes and jacket on, you're going to the doctor," you said. Harry's eyes grew wider. He began to panic. As he panicked, his breathing progressively got worse and worse. "Harry, calm down," you said seeing his panic growing. "Hey, hey," you said as he started to cry. You grabbed his cheeks in your hands, and wiped off the now streaming tears with your thumbs. "Focus on me. Breathe in slow, and breathe out slow. Relax," you comforted. He tried really hard to focus on breathing. He started to relax a little in your touch, but him panicking over the hospital definitely didn't help at all.
"We have to get you to the hospital, Harry," you told and helped him stand up. You slid his jacket on over his sweatshirt, and helped him step into some tennis shoes. You slid your tennis shoes back on, and then threw on an oversized jacket yourself. You made your way out quickly to the car. Luckily, you two only lived a few minutes from the nearest hospital. You rushed your way there, and hopped out. You ran Harry to the waiting room, and signed him in. Without hesitancy, they whisked Harry into a wheel chair to take him back. He reached for you, but you weren't aloud to go back yet. You kissed his cheek, and promised to be there as quickly as you could. You could hear him start to panic without you, and you felt awful they wouldn't let you back. As you sat for a few minutes, you waited impatiently. "Mrs. y/n?" a young doctor asked. "That's me," you said standing up a little confused. '"Do you mind coming back? Harry won't let us do anything unless you're back there," the doctor said defeated. "Yes! I'll come," you said following him to the small curtained emergency room. You smiled at him comfortingly when you came in. One of the nurses were fighting trying to put him on a IV, and he wasn't having it. You went over and grabbed his free hand, and turned his face to focus on you. He buried his face in your neck, and focused on trying to breathe in your scent. The presence of you making him noticeably calm down some. The nurse had you pull away so she could put an oxygen mask on him, and then he went right back to nuzzling his face in your neck. He wasn't happy about the mask guarding him from your scent, but he ignored it, and nuzzled deeper. After they got him stable, they asked that he stay for a few hours of observation, and then left you two alone for some rest. "You meant business about getting me back here with you," you said laughing. He smiled patting the hard hospital bed beside him. You carefully weaved your way around the IV and heart monitor he was connected to. He pulled you close to him, and covered you up. "Thank you for being there for me," he said after a few seconds. "That's my job," you smiled. He went to kiss you forgetting his oxygen mask was on, and lightly bumping your cheek, causing you two to laugh for the remainder of his time at the hospital.
