Yoongi's P.O.V
I don't know why, but I had a bad feeling about this March 14th. The day boys give chocolates to girls. I don't hate the principal of it, but for some time, guys have been talking. I do get Minho is an attractive girl, but PAWS OFF. Sadly, I knew I wouldn't be able to do anything about it, but I could stop my team from doing so."Hey Ke Sung!" I called out.
He ran from the other side of the gym to me."Yes captain?"
"Please don't call me that. Look, I heard the boys talking during practice yesterday about-" He cut me.
"Your girlfriend? It's genuine liking. She comes to every practice and match. She's nice to them too." He explained.
She had talked to them? When?"She's not my girlfriend."
"Oh." He grinned and yelled."Guys! Joo Minho is free!"
I slapped his shoulder."Why did you do that?!"
He laughed."Relax cap. She can choose if she wants a relationship. Besides, between you and me... She'd like more brains, you know? A smart guy or something."
"Well I'm safe until she enters College then." I sighed of relief.
"That's not very nice." Ke Sung frowned.
"I'm toying with you. Let's go warm up." I pushed him back into the game.
Minho's P.O.V
"You guys went what?!"Eunho jumped on the couch."You can't say he doesn't care for you. The lanterns man!"I chuckled."We were with his friends. Besides I know he cares about me. He's my friend."
She rolled her eyes."Yeah right. I'm sure tomorrow some chocolate will be in your locker with his name on it."
"Do you hear yourself Eunho? You sound like when you fangirl on Onew.." I sighed.
"No! SHINee is another story okay!" She blushed. She loved Onew. He was her bias.
I didn't have one in SHINee, I just listened to the music when it played on the radio."Sure whatever. I'm going to bed." I walked to our room and closed the door.
Was she right when I opened my locker? I wouldn't know. How many boxes were in there? 5? No, 6. I read the names. Ke Sung, disappointed, but not surprised. 2 other guys from the basket team. A guy from the drama club.. A guy from the soccer team, I didn't even know the guy, never talked to him. The last one, a box of 3 mochis, with a letter. I slipped it in my bag and left the others there.
Yoongi hated that moment of the year. Every year he'd complain. Why? Simple. I had hit puberty 2 or 3 years ago. I grew curves. I became a.. Let's say a pretty attractive girl, so some say. Yoongi couldn't keep all the 'horny boys' away as he called them. So each year I would receive chocolate from people that were not him. It kinda hit a nerve for the guys who'd protect his best friend from other guys all his life and now couldn't. The look of despair on his face was priceless each time.
"How furious is he?" Jackson asked me.
"Extremely!" I laughed."He's been acting like a gard dog all day."
"Why doesn't he mind Namjoon and I? We are boys." He said.
I shrugged."I guess he sees no threat."
"Hey! That's mean!" He complained, but he knew I was right. That's what Yoongi thought.
I bumbed into someone."Hi Minho." The guy said.
"Oh.. Hey Honje. Sorry for bumping into you." I apologised. Honje, the guy from the drama club. He was nice, but kind of a player.
"How about you and me go out this afternoon? You know, go out for dinner, go to the festival nearby." He proposed trying to touch my hair.
I moved out of his grasp."Thanks, but no thanks Honje."
He grabbed my wrist."Come on, a cutie like you should go out with better looking boys, have some fun."
"Let her go Honje." Jackson stepped in.
Honje looked at me."That's the best you've got? Let her make the choice. You're out of her game."
"The one out of his game is you Honje." I got out of his grasp and started walking."Let's go Jackson. He doesn't know how to be anything else than a playboy."
"Stuck up." I heard Honje say. Jackson was about to turn around.
"Don't Jackson. That's what he wants." I sighed walking with my head up. I stopped when I heard a voice I knew.
"What the hell did you just say?" The voice said.
Oh no. I saw Yoongi close his locker and walk to Honje. Thankfully, I saw Eunho grab his arm diverting him away. Thank goodness. It could've gone messy real fast.. Because of that, we took a detour to class.
Namjoon's P.O.V
"What took you so long?" I asked Minie who just had entered the class. She sank in her chair."I don't wanna talk about it."
"Bumped into a playboy?" I joked.
"Oh my goodness how did you know?" She looked at me like I was some kind of psychic.
"I was just joking. You are not. Who did you bump into?" I asked.
"Honje." She sighed.
I sighed right after her."I hate that guy. Number one playboy."
"You don't have to tell me about it." She searched through her bag."By the way, do you know who that could be from?" She put down a box of mochi.
"Oh. I don't know. Why?" I shyed back, eyes on my math exercises.
"It was the only thing that wasn't chocolate in my locker. I had one like this a month ago too. Same shop, same way to tie the ribbon on the box, but this time it came with a letter." She explained.
"Did you open it?" I demanded.
She smiled as her fingers traced the opening of the letter."Not yet. Mind if I do it now?"
I told her to go ahead. She'd notice the handwriting was the same as mine. She read, her voice high enough for only me to hear."I hope you don't mind me giving you this again. You seemed happy the first time so I thought you liked mochi. Anyway, I didn't want to talk about that. I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the festival at Gyeongbok palace with me in two weeks since we go to another one with school in mid-April. I want to show you the parts of Seoul I know you'll like. If you want, we can invite others if being just the two of us is not fine. Just tell me, but I'm sure you will like the visit.
Your friend, Kim Namjoon." She smiled."I knew it was you. You don't have to shy away like that."I was red of embarrassment. I hid behind my book. She took it and slowly put it down."I never went to a palace before. I'd really like to go see it, if it's fine with you, of course."
I looked her in the eyes."You would go there with me? Really?"
She chuckled."You're the one who seems to see a problem. Like you said, you want to show me places I would like, make memories, make Seoul my city too and I would really like that."
I smiled. That was exactly what I wanted. To show her around. What made me so worried was the day and how I chose to ask her, but for her it just seemed like a nice thought."So.. Do you have anything planned two Saturdays from now?"
"I have a practice the evening before, but my day is free then." She wrote into her agenda.
"Great." I sighed in relief.
"By the way Namjoon, the answer to number 5 is 467 feet, not 348." She commented without peering at my notes. I looked down and she was right. I laughed at myself and erased my mistake. That girl really was something.
