I often wonder
Looking at absolute strangers
How everybody has the power to love
And how everybody loves
In their own little ways
How it would have been
If I were their lover
How would the man
With sombre, dull eyes
Look at me
While confessing his dreams
Or the one sitting in the corner
Would trace out the maps on my skin
How dark would
The soul of the man be
Who kept sipping on his black coffee
Unaware of the world around him
And in the time
I pretend how I'd live those lives
And disperse into multiple selves
As if I was not made
To be loved by one man
As if I belong to all
