The Fall

Flashes of light fall on your eyes.

Everything you see is red.

Two strong flashes.

And then,you hear a voice.

You have heard that voice before.

Its the voice of a boy,a young man in fact.He shouts your name out.
You are falling.Deep,deep down.

He extends his arm to save you but you don't take it.Instead,you let loose of everything,your mind,your soul,your mortal body as you go down drifting away from him.Your eyes are covered with a thick sheet of tears.
There's a piercing pain in your heart,but deep within your soul ,there's a trace of satisfaction of having saved a life.
His life.
Someone just had to do it for him this time.You were glad that it was you.

There's a splash.You are cold.You are conscious of nothing but a searing pain along your spine that seems to be broken,owing to the height of the cliff you jumped off from.Rest of your body goes numb.
It's blue everywhere.There's some force that pulls you downwards deeper and deeper into the blue.You try your best to escape it, to turn away from it ....but...in vain.

It embraces you into a deep whirlpool.You are helpless.Your tears get mingled with the water making it saltier as ever.
You gasp for air but are forced to suffocate.You keep on suffering ,keep on throwing your limbs in all the possible directions in an attempt to survive through the turmoil around you...as you had just escaped the one inside you.You can see small air bubbles rising from around either side of your head marking your desperate longing for air.

The water around changes its hue from blue to deep green.The liquid around you turns miserably cold.The freezing fluid enters your eyes and theatens to pluck your eyeballs out of their sockets any moment.It is no longer possible for you to keep your eyes open.

You close your eyes.

You see the same young man's happy face.
Your body instantly relaxes.You sense a strong emotion make its way to your heart.
Something that you've never quite felt before.
At this point of time,you can't even make out what it is.

You completely surrender to your thoughts as his childlike eyes glisten with a strong radiance when he stretches a wide smile across his beautiful face.

His bright smile warms your heart,regardless of the bitter cold around you.

You slowly lose hold of yourself.

Your vision turns dim.

Asphyxia consumes you as a whole.

Darkness swallows up the light around you.

The light within you slowly,fades away....
